my favorite thing about The Confusion Ending is that if you have subtitles on every time The Stanley Parable Adventure Line™is mentioned, it is capitalized and has the "™" symbol right after it, even when he just says "The Line™" or "Line™" it's such a good gag
You can see someone walking on the other side of some windows to the right near the start after that line of dialogue occurs. Or maybe it's after the Adventure Line Ending, not sure. Either way, it's fucking creepy to actually see another person in the office
56:45 "no sane person would actually enjoy that" ...Throarbin says as he presses keys on a keyboard based on instructions given to him through a monitor😅
I guess that's one way of looking at it, lol. The channel is kind of my way to finally play the games I never could. I do check out some newer games though and certain new releases I'll have to check out, just only the ones that seem relevant to my audience.
I love how the combination of "screw you, Narrator!" and "sure, I'll obey you - this time" led to the same amazing ending on your first run than on mine around 5-10 years ago xD
This was good. This game _really_ works as a lone playthrough. I'd advise for more VODs where it's just you, because otherwise you'll get people nudging you towards the super hidden branches, and telling you 'nope, there's nothing more here', and really... half the fun is exploring, and the other half is wondering what the game is going to do next.
A fun game he should play with this setup is Outer Wilds. It's the perfect game for full-length VODs without getting spoiled by chat. It's also just a really great game in general that I think someone like him would really enjoy.
If you like it, please consider also playing the ultra deluxe edition. it is basically the same game remastered, but it is also not the same game. without spoiling i can only say it has MORE CONTENT.
Yeah, you should keep on playing the game, there's so much great content you have yet to see. Also, as someone else said, you should also check out Deluxe Edition. In spite of what it may seem like, it's not just a slightly upscaled version with a few tweaks; it basically contains all of the original game (aside from a couple of moments that have been changed a bit, which are worth experiencing in both versions) as well as containing twice the content, adding to the original in a meaningful way :)
I'm pretty sure I could just spend a day watching different people play The Stanley Parable. Everyone plays it slightly different, and experiences it slightly differently, and yet its also always somehow the exact same game. Truly, it's a beautiful work of art more than a game.
‘What’s the deal with somebody behind me? Now I’m paranoid!’ I’m pretty sure that’s the entire deal. Or maybe you really could see something if you check often enough, or if you check the right place at the right time? There’s definitely more than enough stuff you haven’t seen yet to fill another video, even if you don’t go for the new version of the game. Even in the broom closet, there’s at least two more lines of dialogue than you heard in this video; though I make no promises as to whether they’re worth the wait.
I would definitely like to see you play more of this, there are plenty more endings to be found :D And yeah, the format of the game does kind of ask for an unedited/uncut video, since our dear Narrator just cannot shut up for the life of him xD (by the way, great reactions to his dialogue, I always love when RUclipsrs engage with him rather than trying to tune him out or talk over him. He may get a bit annoying at times, but he has some fun things to say.)
I've noticed the first ending you get shapes people's overall experience of the game, and I just love that you began with the Confusion Ending. Always a marvelous place to start from. Finishing at the Freedom Ending was great too. (I really recommend you continue playing! Maybe turn on subtitles too, those are both helpful and hilarious. Also, I recommend you stay in the broom closet a little bit longer. It's worth it.)
It was fun watching you be delighted for the first time, playing this, and the portal games for the first time!! One of the makers of The Stanley Parable also made a game that's free on steam that's definitely worth your time: It's very short, and it's called "Dr. Langeskov, the Tiger, and the Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist"... it's a stealth game with a lot of depth and a really spectacular immersive world, and one of the most realistic tigers you'll see in any video game ever. Plus, you can play it through in under 20 minutes... Would love to see you try it!
Also in terms of quick things to do, turning on subtitles in this game can help ensure that the music/sounds never make the narrator hard to hear, and I think this version also lets you change keybinds to let Stanley jump. Though you may need to open the options screen after loading into the game to change them.
the stanley parable is fantastic! you missed a bunch of endings so id definetly love to see more of it from you! the ultra deluxe version also adds a bunch of new endings and is really great as well! and if you like the stanley parable, the creator davey wreden has another game called The beginners Guide, which has similar themes about games as art and the line between creation and creator, its one of my favorites and is pretty short only an hour and a half so I'd love to see you play that!
This game is basically summarized as "you and the game form a comedy duo." The Demo is also its own unique game, Ultra Deluxe is a remaster with a *lot* more content hidden. Btw I hope you'll get the humor more as you play but if it's not your style of comedy then that's fine, it's happened before.
keep going with stanley parable, there are so many endings. if you die thats not a fail. just a different ending. and there are soooo many of them, would love to see you check it out again
Definitely would love to see more of this! Also, if you enjoy mind-bending narration games like Stanley Parable and Portal, I highly recommend checking out both Superliminal and Slay the Princess. The former for more funny and inventive puzzling like Portal, and the latter for more narrative-driven explorations of choice and philosophy like Stanley Parable.
39:20 I love how you deliberately choose the death ending, are warned you're going to die, die, and whilst doing so, shout no like you were hoping some other thing would happen.
The best ending to start from 😂 You should try the Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. It's the same base game remastered with additional content. And there's 19 endings in this game, 42 in the ultra deluxe.
i love this game so much, it is always a treat to see new people experience it. it is such a fun time to discover all the various paths and what the narrator will react to. As well as making you contemplate the nature of choice and game design. i hope you enjoyed it and come back to it , especially the deluxe version but only if you want to.
You've GOTTA play it again! There's so much more to discover! Before playing the deluxe version, finish every possible ending in the normal one. The deluxe changes things quite a lot when it's activated.
1:00:00 the secomd the narrator started talking about how futile pressing the buttons were, i just had to sit back, watch the clock, and applaud the creators.
I've been loving your videos and I didn't realise you had played my favourite game of all time! :D This was great. I'd love to see you play more of it if you wanna, there are a lot of branching paths. Others have pointed it out but the Ultra Deluxe edition has a lot to offer, too. As someone who was into the original long before that came out, it WAS nice to know everything about it before going into the new content, but a lot of people only got into TSP with the new edition and loved it, so don't feel pressured to complete every little thing or play the game a certain way! You always make the let's plays fun regardless. Also, the unedited vid format is right up my alley. There's nothing wrong with your editing style, in fact the edited videos flow really well which is part of what got me into your channel in the first place......... but I grew up on long unedited playthroughs and also am obsessed with TSP so I WILL be interested in seeing your reaction to every little thing. lol (and on a less biased note, I think you make the unedited style work. I think the viewers are happy either way haha)
I'd love to see you play more of this! For sure my favourite game of all time. There's a total of about 30 "endings" within the game. How many will you find? There's also a fantastic free demo for the original game that is its own self-contained game.
God I love your reactions to things, I laughed so much to this. Peak content! Please play more endings, if you think this is trippy, you should check out the ultra deluxe version, it's amazing. All the love ❤
i enjoy your reactions, also you can speedrun to the 'Free' ending for an achievement, which is the ending where you fallow all the narrators directions, so the narrator skipping the entering the numbers scene kinda helps with that, also take a look at the achievements once you've gotten as many endings as you can find for more fun. I do recommend the Ultra Deluxe version once you've finished this one Also some fun history of this game? It was originally a half Life 2 map, that people loved so much, the creator made it into a game. The first game is still a source engine game, and so you do have access to the source engine commands, But Ultra duluxe isn't because it was made with consoles in mind
Fun fact: there’s a low chance for you to see another figure walking through one of the windows in the second room. I know this cause I got it years ago after I got the “there’s someone following you” line and I was scared to play the game for a bit
I'd love to see yo play this game again! Your interaction with it is really nice and you could just do another VOD, this game doesn't fit an edited video imo so it's even easier for you :))
Great video, dude! I'd love to see you play this game again since there’s still a LOT left to do in the game! Also, more unedited videos could be great, as well! Thank you, and have a good day!
I would definitely like to see you play another round. There's a lot more to explore behind the right door. 1:06:35 There is indeed unique dialogue for initiating the countdown twice in a row. :3
you should wait for the dialogue to end cause you missed the closet ending. Also def check out ultra deluxe after getting all the endings in this version
@@ThroarbinGaming the narrator does have long dialogues sometimes but it's not endless and it'll be obvious when he stops (btw tip you should click doors that look closed on each playthrough cause some are open)
It only gave you the "Beat the game" achievement because you finally did what you were asked to - there's plenty more to uncover. I recommend trying out Ultra Deluxe as it has like a ton of additional paths to see. Also, The Stanley Parable Demo is worth checking out - unlike its name suggests, it's a completely different game of its own.
The broom closet ending's my favourite!

my favorite thing about The Confusion Ending is that if you have subtitles on every time The Stanley Parable Adventure Line™is mentioned, it is capitalized and has the "™" symbol right after it, even when he just says "The Line™" or "Line™"

Either way, it's fucking creepy to actually see another person in the office
Are you able to give a time stamp for this? I don’t remember hearing it in the video but I’m curious if I knew the line already or not :O
@@vaehtay Sorry. It wss two months ago. I'd have to re-watch the video again XD
Very reasonable, no worries, but also I FOUND IT!! To anyone else that’s curious, it’s at 52:20 .
