Good reaction. I am a hardcore Metallica fan since 1985. I like almost everything Metallica does. Dont matter if it is thrash or rock or country. The most important is that it is really good music that I like. And it always is with Metallica. Yeah!
The Black album is one of the best selling albums of all time and catapulted them into stardom, if "selling out" was their intention they would have made 3 more just like it. Good reaction and great take on the selling out stuff.
I was introduced to Metallica by this album in 1996. They have been my favorite band since that day and love their variety. Both Load and Re-Load are great albums that don't get their just due in my opinion.
Hi man, I know people ask you to watch so many things, but it would really mean the world to me, other Aussies, and this amazing Aussie singer if you checked out some of her music videos. Cosima De Vito. “Now that you can’t have me” “One night without you” “When the war is over”. Her entire debut album (“Cosima”, from 2004) was written and produced by THE Diane Warren. I know you will love her voice. Cosima is Australia’s Celine Dion. Something different for you guys to watch/listen to. Lots of love and support from Australia, Mark xox
Now that you're familiar with Metallica's Thrash roots up to the Black Album, I can also recommend pivoting into Megadeth, who also have some incredible work in the Thrash scene. Dave Mustaine, the lead guitarist, was originally in Metallica before being kicked out for drug use among other things. This was the direct cause of the band Megadeth, and his goal early on was to be faster and more intense than Metallica was at the time. He broke into his own unique mold later on with albums like Peace Sells and Rust In Peace, which are both absolute classics, especially Rust In Peace which is comparable to Master of Puppets as being the best thrash metal album of all time. Can definitely recommend.

Load and Re-Load are the greatest hard rock albums to have ever come out. Period
I love this album so much. It’s so brilliant.

i love this album so much, its not metal but is so fcking groovy
I don't care if they sold out or not, it's amazing music, and 90's Metallica is best Metallica, IMO. Black album, Load, Reload, Garage Inc. - amazing.
I love Load and Reload. And I would caterogize them as "Heavy Rock" - And BTW. The Outlaw Torn is a gem and a fan favourite.
Metal roots....Yeah, Metallica can AND do play whatever they want...
🤘
