I actually just watched a video where they talked about this. Apparently they actually started filming it one day while Dan was there, surprisingly manning the camera, but when the balloon popped Dan triggered the camera too early, meaning the shot was incomplete. According to Gavin, "some time later" was about 3 weeks, and by that point Dan was off with that Army.
It’s scary that half my lifetime ago I was watching this as a 10 year old kid in utter amazement, in my grans house before dinner thinking damn this was 2 years old these guys have been here for ages (genuinely remember that thought). Now I’m 20 this year n I wanna cry.
