Honestly bro I thought I was the only one messing up constantly as soon as I got my Astro c40 but you’re right it’s just a lot of practice thanks for the vid 👌🏻
This has helped so much I really liked the idea of the rubber band around ur thumb. Instead of taping down the X,O,etc buttons I just changed my binds around so Triangle is jump instead of X.
This helped immensely. It's a few years later so ps5 scuf, but I'm so use to using index and middle finger on the 2 triggers on either side meaning I'd have my ring fingers on the back. Felt extremely tough to grip controller because I'd click the back buttons, but with my middle finger back there instead, way more control. Thank you dude!
I have a scuf impact but I didn’t like the feel of it in my hands and the 4 paddles were kinda unnecessary. This week I bought a scuf infinity 4ps but I still need to get used to how different it feels from a regular controller. I also noticed that my aim was not on point some times (apex legends and cod). And sometimes I still used the R3 button instead of the back paddle. It indeed takes time to get used to it before I’m able to have the same aim as I did before but now with better movement.
Today I received the back buttons attachment for my controller... Damn this is hard to use, it's frustrating not to play as good as before... I think too much about them and I don't do thing as naturally as before... And as you said the new way of wrapping the hands is inconfortable... I hope it will get better soon

Bro I thought this was just me. I just bought the scuff impact for my PS4 and thought me hands were stuffed because I got cramps and kept miss clicking
So I play rainbow six siege and obviously the best way is when your in a gunfight you have to continuously crouch and lean while shooting to win. I just got a regular controller with paddles and a trigger stop but I just can’t coordinate my mind on it. I will be tapping the crouch (right paddle) while trying to hold shoot but for some reason I automatically tap the trigger. Or I start to hold the crouch and lay down on accident. I can’t corridnate myself help
Keep practicing with it and don't switch back to a regular controller. It took me a while to get used to it because I was doing the same this that you are talking about. Don't give up!
I made a custom games with bots on recruit level to practice with my one. Then increased the bots skill level as I improved. Takes some time to get used to the paddles but they do help improve your game.
I just got the vantage 2 and man am I horrible with it..lol. I was thinking of returning it but your vid just convinced me to give it another chance and just practice.

I recently bought a PowerA Spectra Infinity Enhanced Controller for Xbox and its great! I do prefer buttons instead of paddles at the back tho. Im about 1 and a half weeks into playing with this new pro controller but im still struggling a little bit. I have defo improved since the first few days tho for sure!
I've heard that has been that has been the issue with a lot of people who use the SCUF vantage/impact controllers. It takes some time to get used to but you will get it!

I've been using a normal Playstation controller with the Playstation back button attachment. Giving my controller 2 paddles. I immediately noticed a jump in game play. I have got to get me a scuf now. Not sure if 4 paddles or 2 would be ideal.
After a few weeks of use I honestly don't know how I played with any other controller. My recommendation is for everyone to buy a scuf now. It WILL boost your gameplay.
Fiend Actually a good way to get that muscle memory, I’m struggling to get used to paddles right now after getting the attachment for PS4. I just try to use them for every game now to get used to the grip
@@jojochavez2738 yeah it did. I found just playing against bots or dropping into multiplayer helped. Started off practicing with one of the paddles then doing it together. Took me about two weeks to adapt then adapter that it’s all second nature. Good luck

It’s so weird at first using them but you get there, think it’s because you never use those fingers until you get a scuf. I would struggle to go back to a normal controller now though. To use to it

I’m making the switch from PC to PS4 (mostly because I can’t afford a new PC) and I’m having trouble getting used to a PS controller. Should I get a SCUF and get used to that? I have single player games and can take my time getting used to it. I’m also old, so getting used to something new is harder anyway. Thanks in advance!
I would recommend using a scuf controller if you plan on playing any competitive multiplayer games in the future but if you think you'll stick to single player games for the most part then a regular PS4 controller should suffice. Age doesn't affect your controller learning abilities, you'll be fine 👌
I just ordered one. Impact. I have a question. So I have big hands. I wear a 2xl glove for work. Big! I squeez hard just like you do. I run the stick and move print ( L3 sprint, R3 jump). Go through controllers left and right because I squeez so hard. So I got a scuf so i could use the different buttons so i am not smashing the buttons. My question ( after my incoherent ramble). Do you think I would be better off holding the controller normally since my hands are so big? And how is the sensitivity? I run 16, 16, should I turn it way down?

I use a Xbox elite and use all paddles and I feel like if I get a scuff instead of elite 2 i can’t use all the paddles comfortably because I use my ring fingers for upper paddles and pinky for lower paddle
My issue's is that i have long fimgers and i press both right side/left side at the same time so i switched both right paddles to the same button and both left paddles to the same button And i have a scuff rip off so that analogs are stiff

Yeah man it definitely takes some time to master but keep practicing in the firing range and you will definitely see the difference

The huge difference is the sensitivity feels really weird on scuff compared to the regular dualshock like a bit slower and more stiff
