Man I met Lord Finesse at the 2019 DMC US Finals (DJ Battle) since he was the MC of the event !
Such a nice guy, I tried not be be too starstruck but really I got to chat with him for a few minutes and he SO humble despite still being an absolute monster on the mic. The best part of the night was when a showcasing DJ started playing his instrumentals and he started rapping them !! Didn't even skip a beat and absolutely killed an acapella verse (he sounds EXACTLY the way he does in his albums). It's crazy how slept-on he is in the current hip-hop climate, he's up there with the East Coast have hitters like Big L/Biggie/Nas/etc.
I watched a few hours of Finesse freestyling and it's flawless. In or out of the studio, he's a legend. Needs to be preserved in the hip hop vaults.

Pudgee used it around the same time this was out too, his song was produced by Nick Wiz and reminds me more of what Lupe or Lupe's producer did with the sample. Nick Wiz is one of my favorite producers and they're all good songs but I probably like what Finesse did with it the most.
