- After 933,614 flight hours over a 34-year career, the AH-1W “Whiskey” Super Cobra helicopter flew its last flight on Oct. 14, 2020, over the City of New Orleans. The Super Cobra's legacy and mission will be passed on to the “Zulu” variant, the AH-1Z Viper.

These are my birds. We got them right at the end of my second enlistment. They were such a huge upgrade from J and T models. Those big T700 GE s and huge cans!.

They have saved many jarheads lives.. when called on they kicked ass and allowed the guys on the ground to fight another day. Including mine
i hope the Philippines government will acquire these assets,even though it is second hand but still it has a big help in maintaining security in our country.
