The Best Yamaha Transom Saver??

- When DD26 Fishing came out with their Mercury 4-Stroke Transom Saver they had a winner for sure. For those of us with Yamahas we've been needing a quality choice for some time. We've had to go through a number of them which some also caused damage to our trim/tilt assembly and ended up costing a lot more in the long run. Now that DD26 Fishing came out with these Yamaha Mean Mounts we no longer have that problem!

Doesnt do shit for the transom.
That would a hydraulic system saver . That does nothing to take away loading of the transom
This device just takes pressure off of the Trim/Tilt system, it is still putting pressure on the transom.
That's not a transom saver. A transom saver braces to the trailer. Duh.
This guy can talk
All that clacking. Yeah...no go for me. Didn't do jack shit. Still going with MotorMate.
MM is way better.
But the outboard still sways from side to side thought?
but it’s still not taking pressure off your transom
A traditional "transom saver" doesn't either.
From talking to several boat dealers, the important thing is too keep the engine from moving.
fishing is my drug I could agree with that but i’d still think a traditional transom saver would work even better
@@jacobspassons5249 Yes sir. I see both sides to this "discussion".
I have an older bass boat I'm redoing. I'm trying to figure out what to believe, and then, what to use.
Or, for my situation, if I'd be better off making something. As none of them seem affordable to me.
I read in one fishing forum, several people swear by a chunk of 4*4 wood. Trim down, place the block, trim down till it's secure. Said they've done it that way for years, no issues.
fishing is my drug Yea i mean i think it’s all just preference and there is no by the book best way to do it
Boring
What’s wrong with useing the engine locks trim locks that are on the
Engine?
How does that save the transom?
I have the same question.
Does it fit the f115?
Factory Yamaha Lock is meant for sitting still and servicing the trim tilt … It will destroy the housing .
If you trailer on factory lock it will destroy it . I didn’t listen .. now I got a motor with 55hrs and the entire housing is cracked . Buy anything besides the factory lock
I have The 90 SHO DD26 doesn't make anything for the 90 SHO
So I went with Motor Mate works great
How big is that center piece? My engines don't tilt up much. I have an Scout 277 lxd
If you need steering clips you are not securing the weight past the pivot bushing. Allowing nearly the entire weight of engine to pound the bushings while driving down the road.
I just bought a "m y wedge" and now I am ordering yours for my 150 yamaha.
Please let me
Looks great but whats to keep from bouncing? I didn't notice any strap around the tail end of the motor?
Thanks for the comments and education, but I have to ask. Is that Homestead Miami Speedway in the background???????
what a joke🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can't see a thing,,,
This is not a transom saver.
Motor mate doesn’t move one bit
No need for steering clips either.
I like the factory part, thanks for the video.
Why do you even reply I've seen you post on many of these transom savers why not even voice you opinion and watch the video
he is completely blind I called mercury they will not warranty the motor due to aftermarket add On's. he is so defensive I think he might be getting paid. everybody else agrees...it's more weight on your transom point blank, no brainer..!
Lolol
