That does NOT protect your transom...There is a reason regular transom savers connect to your trailer. With the style you have you are putting all the weight on the transom....
I got one 3 years ago and is broken on the main post welds. This from just regular use going up and down highways to the lake. Absolute junk!. Buyer beware!

Mine popped out and destroyed my cowl.
Wow. I still use mine and travel quite a bit and have not had any problems with mine.
