The lady who offered to pay for the painting is so chill and pleasant and has a big heart. She’d rather see the girl enjoy being creative than to make her feel bad about it.
But they should make her feel bad about it. (yes I know they were gonna buy it) If this was a real scenario the kid would not know that it's a bad thing to do, especially after getting praised over how 'pretty it is' and then they would do it again. They need to be taught to not touch/draw on people's property without permission. There is a fine line between not upsetting a kid and discipline.
@@mayooo1516 that’s good. Sometimes when kids get scolded for their mistakes, it’s easy for them to interpret it as “they made the mistake therefore they are bad”. That’s why it’s really important for me to let kids know that it’s the action that was wrong.
@@Saber-vf6rh Yeah ofc! I 110% agree with you. I'm just tired of seeing all these people who are saying that 'she's just a kid' 'let her be creative'. Just by that, you can tell who should and who shouldn't be allowed to raise kids.
Imagine being one of the actors just doing normal life stuff outside of the job. other people would get suspicious over nothing 😂 “LOOK! It’s Traci!!! Find the hidden cameras” meanwhile traci is just out doing some normal shopping 😂
Idk why people think that parents don't have to pay, your child literally destroying art is illegal and destruction of property. Parents are responsible for their children.
I'm an artist myself and maximum that I would charge is a cost price, and that's if I'm in a bad mood. Actually my paintings safety is my responsibility as well. It's obviosly risky to put it out in a public place like this and not even cover it with glass or something. People are eating there, not to mention with children. Anything can happen, even accidentaly. What if someone chokes or stumbles and drops a plate? In a second pieces of food or splashes of drink are all over the painting. And it's not even some fashionable place where customers are all rich. There has to be legal way to reasonably evaluate responsability. Or can I raise money just by laying my paintings out on a sidewalk and waithing for someone to step on them? Also you can't just claim that any price you put on tag for your work is indeed really how much it costs, you may have to prove it first. Commonly art costs as much as someone's willing to pay for it. And if someone is willing to pay for a painting improved by a child, but not the original, doesn't it mean that an artist has to split the gain with a child who helped to sell this painting?
I'm sorry but art is pretty much entirely subjective, the exception possibly being art that is focused on being as hyper realistic as possible, where you can judge it based on how realistic it looks. An easy example of the subjectivity of art, most parents see a kids drawing, and usually have to guess what its even meant to be, but if someone came up and offered $20 or even $50 for each drawing, unless they're in dire need of money, most would probably choose to keep the pieces, because its not as much about the "quality" of the work as it is the sentiment attached to it. When it comes to art made by a stranger, the sentiment attached is usually tied to something personal. Maybe the painting is of a location important to you, or maybe you saw the painting on a day that was important to you, or maybe its something as simple as its your favorite color, animal, whatever and you have cash to spare. The amount charged for a painting will definitely affect it's sale, more than just who can afford it. Three identical paintings, one priced extremely high, one priced extremely low, and one priced reasonably all have variables affecting whether they sell. An extremely high price will lose out most customers, but may gain customers that specifically see art as a high value work solely purchased for bragging rights, the more expensive the better. An extremely low price may be affordable to all, but at such a low price people may be put off about the price, specifically why the price is the way it is. They may look for something wrong with the painting that isn't there, or may even think it must be bad art just because others must have considered it bad art, and that's why its price ended up so low. On top of all that, just because it says the paintings were $12 doesn't actually mean anything, since its not like everyone who made a painting came together and decided that was their worth. Most likely everyone who made a painting did so with supplies provided by WWYD, and probably while on the clock as well. I'm not even sure if $12 would cover the supply cost, let alone the hourly wages of an employee. Obviously, the creators most likely didn't pour their heart and soul into the painting, as they knew it was going to be "defaced", and given to people on the show. But it still looks like they tried, even if it was more casual. Plus, with how modern art is, simply the fact that it was on a TV show would raise its value in some people's eyes.

Molly Ruth lol at my job I had to add on a "honey" or a "sweetie" when I tell the kids to get off furniture and stuff it actually makes the parents not as pised hahq
NEVER go with children into a gallery. I did, I told the kids (and mother) not to touch anything and one kid didnt listen, and touched a painting. Nothing happened but my heart fell. Some children do not understand the "no touch" rule and they do not have a feeling for how much money is involved. Some parents do not understand it either- the mother staid cool and didnt rebuke her son, which left me speechless. But I do wonder why gallery insurance isnt covering this cost?
@Alstein E well they did commit to watching her while the mom ran to the bathroom so I guess they felt somewhat responsible. For that I think they are angles lol.
@thirteen actually it was.......... because the mother asked them to watch her and they agreed.... so as opposed to the first woman who was not asked to watch the kid and was not willing to pay, these last old ladies were responsible for allowing the kid to draw - they even encouraged her so by all means pay for it!

stupid woman, she thinks they are going to kill her.
How could she even give comments afterwards. Still wondering.
cmon being mad is 300$ is so cheap and poor, i wipe my ass with 300$, 300$ for me is like 1 cent coz i am rich as hell here. I have 2 mansion, 2 lamborghini, 2 porche 911, and a bugatti + suv. and harley davidson and private helicopter. 300$ doesnt mean shit i could pay 100000$ for that shit painting!
@@tianzhao_taipei NOBODY GIVES A FUCK
Not really selling it when you can't spell correctly
When you do it in front of a average person, they get mad.
When you do it in front of an artist, they want to scream at you but realize ur a child in public.
Did anyone notice the painting's artist?

Dani was invented is that supposed to be a pun ? You know FELT more like a prank video. Get it cus like FELT tip no? Okay 😂😂
*If I was a mom that had a kid that broke something expensive I be like* *_she ain't my child_*
beat the child if they act up easy.

I love those ladies that said I’ll take responsibility for it!
They are all so sweet!
@Alstein E well they did commit to watching her while the mom ran to the bathroom so I guess they felt somewhat responsible. For that I think they are angles lol.
Maddie Mason .. I agree with you
They encouraged the little girl to do a bad thing bruh
Then didn't hold them responsible
Shit i'd prolly stand up and draw on the painting aswell then buy the painting
and be like eh it was a good investment..
@thirteen actually it was.......... because the mother asked them to watch her and they agreed.... so as opposed to the first woman who was not asked to watch the kid and was not willing to pay, these last old ladies were responsible for allowing the kid to draw - they even encouraged her so by all means pay for it!
Ava: *draws on the painting*
Women: oh no NO NO!!
Ava: why?

@10000 videos with no subscribers: What OP is trying to say here is that they think this actress was in another “What Would You Do” video where they were a rich 13 year old with 3000 followers. And Ava did indeed play both characters.
