The fact that Oda can walk without wheelchair off the court does give him tremendous advantage, because his lower muscle isn’t deteriorating. And that allows him to sit the way he is sitting in his wheelchair. That positioning gives him more strength in generating powerful groundstrokes and the manueverability of wheelchair.
If ITF wants to make the sport fair, they need to mandate a rule where players have to strap both of their legs like everybody else. Oda is winning 3 majors and No.1 ranking at the age of 17 not because he is great, but because he has undeniable physical advantage over others.

That’s true. That’s the main issue with parasport.. who’s to say whom has more of a disability than others..

Alfie can also walk off court a bit. Both can’t walk for long periods of time, but are still disabled. Yes there could be rules about how a player has to be seated which could help but as a professional para alpine skier and tennis player myself who cannot walk at all it does not deter me from working to reach the highest rankings I possibly can. Even though I cannot go with as aggressive a seating position as Oda can, I still go for the most aggressive I possibly can so that I have every advantage. There are still players who make it to the top levels like Gustavo who have no use of their legs or hip flexors at all, so it isn’t impossible. Yes, Oda has an advantage, but Alfie in terms of disability is extremely evenly matched.

You just don‘t like Asians doing well
You wouldn‘t say the same if Oda was from your country ☺️

Hewett can also walk. Wotld number one before Hewett could also walk for the latter part of his carreer thanks to rehabilitation. I mean you could also walk with crutches with a broken leg. That doesn't mean you aren't severely hampered when you play sport in that condition..

Grunting while in a wheelchair is crazy ngl

Try sitting in a chair, weighing yourself down, then swinging as hard as them (which is damn hard anyway). You'd grunt too.
