  • Following a successful run on Parks and Recreation, Aziz Ansari really hit it big when he created and starred in the hit Netflix series, Master of None. The critically-acclaimed show, which brought the actor-writer numerous accolades, had undeniable parallels with many of Ansari’s interests and experiences. It centered around food and romance for a single comedian in New York, which sounds pretty similar to Ansari’s own life and career.
    However, Ansari’s career trajectory -- and his role on Master of None -- came to a halt in January 2018, when a woman accused the star of sexual misconduct. Soon after the report came out, Ansari publicly apologized, but he’s since pretty much disappeared from the spotlight.
    What’s the truth about what happened to Aziz Ansari? We’ve got your answers.

And had sex with someone she wasn’t attracted to. And showed her immaturity even more claiming he pressured her. Why not show all the people who slammed this immature female for ruining this mans career. It was not a me too situation what so ever.

    One thing must be very clear... a bad date and bad sex has nothing to do with any form of sexual misconduct... period!
    She consented... they made out. She withdrew consent, he stopped. He even got her a taxi (eventhough he just could have kicked her out).
    He should be praised for his responsible behaviour and for the respect he gave that woman. Instead that woman chose to abuse the MeToo movement, abuse the suffering of women to viciously and maliciously attack a champion for women's rights.
    He should have sued the woman for every penny for defamation and he shold have sued every publication that made him out to be a sexual predator. And the proponenst of the MeToo mvement should have joined to disown all those who abuse the memory of victims for their own sick purpose.

      I agree with part of what you said. He did not deserve to be called out and what he did is not harassment or assault. He did not however really stop, as he stopped but then tried again. This is actually a pick-up technique that's been taught called the freeze-out where you stop, try again and break down the "defenses" until you can get a F close (not my words). It was stupid to publish his name when the same story without the name would have been just as interesting.

    • @SisterKnight
      @SisterKnight 5 лет назад +11

      @@adorableonyourvanity that's why it is sexual harrassment. We are so conditioned to be nice to do the right thing to find a husband etc. When you go on a date with someone you like and he starts getting pushy, but not rapey pushy (whatever that means), and you don't want to but hes being super nice; what do you do? Some women say no just stop, and some trying to let him down nicely. Both women said no, but one was firm and one wasn't. But it's still obvious they both don't want to. They both have different personalities but we are conditioned to fault the gentler lady for not saying no right instead of the man who didnt take disinterest for an answer. Did he RIP her clothes off and punch her in the face with his penis, no, but he should've taken the hint. We naturally believe a man not giving up as a cute thing, an awkward thing, and we feel bad for the dude. But for women like me men like that was a nightmare and people always saw him.as good and me as the weak asshole tease who didn't say no right enough. Think about it.

      MrsRivera I do Believe that the other party has agency and it should be exercised - say no, walk away. There is a lot of debate about what happened with them, it’s a lot of he said she said and while I can understand her trauma, but the way the culture is, it needs a lot of work.

    I asked her "Do you want anything", she said "Nah". I asked again "Are you sure? I'm not sharing".
    She said "Fine!" and got some food..
    Months later she left me and used this example as one of the times she felt pressured to eat take out when she really didnt want to.

      @lena darling you clearly have never been in a private 1v1 setting in a home in a romantic setting. she evven said she participated and when she decided she wasnt into it and vocalized it he stopped. it has nothing to do with civility it is based on non verbal cues which is a lot of "wooing". asking "can i hold your hand? may i touch your leg? can i touch your boobie" gets teedus and it certainly takes one out of the mood this coming from a woman with plenty of experience. should he ask if the girl wants to do sex acts? yes make sure if this isnt a decent relationship length that this is established. she clearly had intent of doing physical stuff and she changed her mind (maybe he had a small penis i dunno), and once she stated as much he respected it. YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF YOUR BODY so if you dont like something someone else is misreading and doing which clearly this incident is the case, you need to say so not LAUGH bc that isnt something easily interpreted as a flirty laugh uncomfortable laugh. people arent psychic. the intend was clear in the begining and he respected her wishes when stated. she clearly was wanting something else after a time and not stating it in the first place rather choosing to continue the behavior and not making it obvious by using her words, thats on her. this case was no sexual misconduct nothing. she regretted her behavior and tried to take him down that is why most people didnt give him shit bc clearly this was on her and just slightly an embarrassing situation for him.

    If they are WRONGLY 'taken down' by the MeToo movement, then who the FUCK has the right to decide WHEN they want to make a comeback. They shouldn't even have been falsely accused in the first place SMH.

    I am aware of the allegations, but I really do question it. I don't think someone's career should be put on a halt just because some girl is accusing someone of assault or harassment with no proof.

  • @jaygonzales6069
    @jaygonzales6069 5 лет назад +2

    This wasn't the truth about what happen. They were on a date, she asked if they could go back to his hotel, he thought she wanted to have sex since its not like he planned on having an actual relationship with her. They started to make out and when he wanted to initiate in sex (how most of us normal people have sex) she wasn't sure. A couple of days later she regretted it and called it sexual misconduct. If every decision you regretted makes you a victim, I feel sorry for you. And truth is, that's exactly what you want.

    I still can't understand how a bad sexual experience was made out to be sexual assault. His accuser took the #metoo movement back some steps. He didn't force her to do anything. She just didn't like the sex and could have said stop at anytime but she just allowed him to continue. Then tries to ruin the man life by making it seem like she was taken advantage of.

    The girl he went on a date with wasn't even sexually assaulted. She could have left whenever she wanted. But she chose to quietly stay at his apartment and let him do all those "pervy" things as if she had no free will . As if he had a gun on her head ... Come on, Just make master of none season 3 already!!! We love you Aziz!

    I really like Aziz Ansari. I saw him when i was a kid in Ice Age: Continental Drift and Epic. Both were produced by Blue Sky Studios. Those were the only works I've seen from him as of lately. He also guest starred on a horrible cartoon called Wander Over Yonder. Epic is currently the most recent theatrical work I've seen from him.

    What gets glossed over, in the entire incident, was that when she said, "No," he stopped. The entire cascade of adverse events was because she claimed he didn't discern any subtle non-verbal cues she said she gave.
    He stopped at "No." He wasn't a dick about it and she went on her way.

    People are way to sensitive and I think so many situations get blown out of proportion. I don't know what actually happened to this girl but when it comes to famous people I think a lot of them get scrutinized and judged and then social media spins the story and it gets turn into a situation that didn't actually happen I don't see Aziz being the type of guy that would do something like that either way even if he did people make mistakes and a lot of times especially with overactive people situations get turned into something and things that people say and do are taken out of context and these people want their names in the spotlight so they take a situation and make it into something that it wasn't and just to get attention. Either way I think Aziz is a great guy I love his comedy and I wish him the best I think a lot of people need to grow the fuck up and stop being so judgmental and sensitive like I stated before I wasn't there so I don't know the situation if this did happen or didn't all I know is that we are all human beings and we all make mistakes and we need to learn from those mistakes so we don't repeat the same things. If this girl did have something happen to her I wish you the best and she should definitely address the issue but I don't think it should be made public. Whatever happened between these two people is their business and they need to be adults and rectify whatever happened I wish both of these people the best I just think a lot of these stars get set up by people that just want attention and on the other hand I think some Stars use their status to do terrible things because they feel empowered and think that the rules don't apply to them because they're famous and I don't agree with that at all and I know that that s*** happens and these people need to be punished just like everybody else they shouldn't be excused just because of the fact that they have a lot of money and they are famous. I hope that Aziz continues to make great content I really love his style he just kind of says whatever comes to his mind and I love that he's all over the place it kind of reminds me of when I smoke weed and my brain just comes up with all this crazy s*** and it comes from such a creative place and I think that when he gets in that creative space he is freaking hilarious I know this is a run-on sentence and probably doesn't make a lot of sense but f*** it I just wanted to say that I don't believe a lot of these allegations against some of these Stars. I know some of them are true but either way Aziz we love you man and we got your back and I can't wait for you to come up with some news s*** I really enjoy your comedy and I seriously wish you the best bro.

    I wonder if aziz feels like his pre allegation persona was to blame for his actions that’s lead him to be accused and now he feels like he sort of needs to grow up and doesn’t want to be that guy. Almost like he hates himself for getting into that and it was so horrible that he just doesn’t want to give off that “treat yourself” persona and be not just a bad role model but make people think it’s okay to live your life like his master of non character. I wonder if he thinks it’s fine and a phase but eventually you have to move on and mature and settle down but doesn’t want people to think it’s okay to live the rest of your life like that.
    That’s just me trying to be sympathetic.
    I won’t lie, I saw his latest Netflix show and was really shocked that he came out in jeans and a old looking T-shirt to do his special. It just shows how much he has changed.
