Bach said once about this composer, his best disciple: ""der einzige Krebs in meinem Bach" (Krebs means CRAB, BACH means BROOK). A great composer, indeed. Gracias por brindarnos tantas maravillas, Pau!

Stunning Cantata by Krebs a brilliant Disciple of JS Bach , who must have treated him as one his best students. Pity he struggled to find work, only small posts until Bach’s death and Krebs struggled to feed his family. ❤This Pau thank you.
Never heard music by Krebs whose i knew only the name from Bach's biography. Very very nice! He didn't update his style but this work is between barocque and classic style, not a mere reproduction of the old style. What a pity he couldn't obtain the success he deserved!
My goodness, for the opening chorus, the choir has to be in good shape so that they don't get drowned by trumpets and percussion! 😆 The Duet by tenor and bass is very nice. ❤
Pure joy! It sounds to me like J.G.Walter, Telemann, not like J.S.Bach. Walther In 1708 he wrote a kind of 'General Music Theory' for his pupil, Prince Johann Ernst von Sachsen-Weimar. J.S. Bach, Johann Tobias Krebs - have made copies of this manuscript. Canon BWV 1073 that J. S. Bach wrote in 1713 is a tribute to Johann Gottfried Walther. The canon consists of 82 notes and 82 is the sum of numbers that each stand for a letter of Walther's family name in the order of the alphabet.

So beautyfull, Bach is superior but Krebs is also heaven.
Krebs is more a Goldfish.. and Bach is more an Ocean
lol -- actually, I recently read that Krebs means "crab"
