Your customary well chosen artwork fits well with the more frenetic passages in this interesting composition. Thanks, as always.

This is easily on a par with much more famous composers as f.i. Stamitz, Gluck and early Haydn. I allways wondered at the similarity between another D major symphony in 3/4 time bij van Maldere and the Matin symphony by Haydn, also D major and 3/4. It could well be possible that H knew about this, Flanders and Austria were at that time Habsburg territory.

Extraordinary and deeply affecting . He accepted the gallant style; but over time he made a synthesis - under Italian and Viennese influence he made a synthesis of the Mannheim School with French stylistic elements. Symphonies - bear witness to - the formation of the early classical "Viennese" symphonie's. Maldere made a significant contribution to creativity: Graf, A. Zimmermann, Wanhal, Joseph and Michael Haydn, A. Mozart,..., Dittersdorf. Van Mulder's works circulated throughout Europe in manuscript parts as well as in print. The manuscripts of his works are in 21 libraries in 10 countries.

A Flemish from the Classical Period, which for me is quite a strange proposition being so much used to associate the Flanders to mindblowingly complicated Renaissance polyphonies, and yet here we have one.

I'm always happy to listen to early music not written by a German composer. give me some variety, for crying out loud! this Teutonic nation is not the only one in Europe. although they wish it was
