  • Mr Bryson DeChambeau is in my eyes one of the most special persons in pro golf out there. Not only as he is using single length irons like I am but also as he has this way of explaining it so that everyone understands.
    He had this session from the bunker with the line on it ... but ... we cannot always hit full bunkershots on the practice places. The later tip for indoors was awesome. On a mat from the driving range it is often not clear how you have hit the ball. The mat is too forgiving in that sense. Having this little tape on it ... it was awesome. One will not rule out thin shots, ... but the feel of the good shots where the the tape was not touched. Those hits had an very piercing ball flight and of course one can hear and feel it.
    Make sure to check the original vid of Mr. Bryson DeChambeau:

    Nothing in this video should be taken too seriously and I hope you like the combination of the two worlds. There might some motor cycling and what evah floats my boat.

    i like this one. the tape is like a punishment where if you hit it you have to keep resetting it. ive done it with foot powder sprayed on the mat. (i keep it in the bag for contact location on the club face) Spray a line, ball behind it, strike through the ball and the line. wipes off the mat with a towel after. Nu-metal vibes with todays artist. 2000's coming back baby.

      Thx 🙏🏻 Powder or chalk will do the trick for sure. I will make sure for me to always have eiter tape or chalk in the bag. Did this before a round in warm up. The extra focus on good contact did do something positive. But ... it will take time to get this dialed in to better levels. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 This song was ... well pretty different for sure. Next vid will be pushing all again. 😊😉🤣🤘🏻

    That is a hard dril to do but equally very illuminating. The matt will allow a poor swing to slide into the back of the ball and get a reasonable result. The tape tells the truth. Nice vid. Reminds me to work on this with my fats and thins.

      The matt is indeed too forgiving and you might start to think all is OK. This is why I normaly want to practice on grass driving range as that is also revealing. But in wintertimes ... that's closed to. This little tape helps a lot not to fool yourself. This will stay in the practice sessions this whole winter. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

      @metalheads-golf I got it all from single length golf website. There are 3 or 4 different one length drivers to choose from. Very interesting looking down on it. I will play next Saturday at the range first time, can't wait 🙌🏻

    A friend of mine asked how i hit the small ball before the big ball every time, i told him this is the drill, i was taught this drill by my Pro John Sticky Dyer 50 years ago, still practice it in bunkers today

      Marrakech, ... awesome. I've never been there ... but a friend of mine was born there and still invites me to come and experience his roots.
      Cool that there are soon events you can check out. Always nice. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
      The climate is for sure nice for golf there. (Water in certain areas is of course something to consider.)

    You should put the ball like 3-5 inches after the tape. And try to avoid hitting the tape. It's same as the towel drill.

    • @metalheads-golf
      @metalheads-golf  4 месяца назад +1

      Thx, ... but why make it easier. If there is a bigger gap ... i've got to much room. Or ... do I miss what you mean? 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

    • @SvingitGolf
      @SvingitGolf 4 месяца назад +2

      @@metalheads-golf The towel drill is if you hit behind the ball. If you hit behind the ball you get instant feedback from the towel. When you get better and better you move the ball closer to the towel. But start with a width of a scorecard from the towel. It's not as easy as it sounds. It helped me to focus more on hitting down at the ball. I could get AoA fown to -6-7 deg with that drill. Everything is about compress the ball for transfer energy from the club head through the ball.

      Thx Ian 🙏🏻, I'm working on well ... getting better and this drill just needed to be shared as it just helps al lot. But ... it's a process so it will take time. But this is in the training sessions and also part of warming up before a round. Hopefully the number of fat hits will go down. 😊 This song was ... well pretty different for sure. Next vid will be pushing all again. 😊😉🤣🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
