Those who spend 1800 on a phone, will not be keeping it for 7 years, most I would think, will change their phone every 2nd/ 3rd year
Or several times per year (in my case lol). I wish the folds were $1800 here in Canada.. for my 1tb fold 5 with tax I think it was about $3200...
Imo most people will not keep phone for 7 years it will be outdated by then... I have S23ultra and I may upgrade it to s25 ultra next year for now S23ultra is working perfectly will it be stable enough in 7 years no it has 2 more cycle of os updates left
@jbrei713 love my s23 ultra...have an s24 ultra as well but other than the flat screen and slightly better battery life the S23 is just as good and the zoom is much better.
I still have my note 10+ 512Gb....if I had more updates I'd keep it for years
I upgraded seven Notes and only kept the last one the 20 ultra.

@@namduonghoang2931 I'm in America. When new phones release the older ones price drop instantly on resell market. I am going to wait. I estimate in 6 months I'll be able to get a fold 5 512 GB for about 600 USD. Or I may just get the open which more than likely will be the same price

Well it's likely gonna have anti-reflectiveness, it's gonna be nicer looking due to the more squared edges, but more importantly is the cover screen that I'll finally be able to text on and use.
If it has good tradein for fold 5, i would upgrade to 6 too. Even if its minor upgrade, its still worth it . U will have warranty n device screen care renew. N the longer u drag to upgrade, u loses $$ as the fold 5 loses value. N the screen folding durability is still unknown going into the 2yr....
They make the trade in too good to not do it each year

Unless there’s a Z fold 6 ultra with a significantly larger outter display then this will be another flop for them. They are already losing market share, they’re about to lose a lot more if the rumors are true.

I just bought an S24 Ultra last week, but IF the Fold 6 sports some real upgrades from the 5, ill consider trading in my ultra. We will find out soon!
Im not so sure i would go for the samsung. There are more and more alternatives and Samsung just dont seem to be offering much other than a new processor. The honor magic V3 is due out soon... Might wait for thay before deciding on a foldable
I plan to wait for the Fold 7, I got the Fold 5 and I'm not seeing enough of a change to say the Fold 6 boxy design is worth it.

I was literally just thnking that with the new Razr being announced Tuesday, Samsung will definitely start the preorder sign up in the next few days. Probably why it hasn't happened already, just to make sure that Samsung guys like myself wont look too long at the Moto. If Moto realy wanted to compete they will get the Razr our globally with some incentives before July 10th and Samsung takes over again.
Moving from the fold 3 to 6. Hope the screen is wider.

I've had my Z Flip 5 turned off and in the box for months now
Going to trade it in for Flip 6 and then sell it unopened
The Flip isn't a bad device but for me the outter display just isn't super handy
I've yet to try a "book" style foldable but I have a good feeling I'd like it much better than the clamshell

😭OnePlus Open destroys the Fold. The only thing is if there's an issue with the Open you might be sol when getting help repair.

I have the Fold 5, payment plan is $50/ month. ATT gives me $27/month, my company kicks in $35/ month. So I am doing well and may trade it in for the Fold 6.

Bro calm down. I could barely notice any speed difference from my s22 ultra ro my s24 ultra. I returned it and got the fold 5 due to the s24 having the exact same user experience as my s24 and I felt like I needed to justify blowing my money on something different.
The speed between the gen 2 & 3 is literally non existent on real world use.
Futhermore, if the only difference in the fold 5 & would be smaller front bezels, then why would anyone pay $2000 when they can get the 5 for like $600?

From a personal experience my fold 3 and 4 bith have had broken hinges, cracked inner screens a year after purchase. U need to buy an extended warranty if i dont trade in my fold 4 now for something new i will be freeballing it. Samsung will always wiggle out of paying for anything they can btw
I have the OnePlus Open as my Android counterpart to my iphone and hardware wise, I think its better than the Z Fold 5, so the Fold 6 would have to be lighter and thinner to entice me. The only advantage Samsung has is the software, it felt solid on the Fold; with the OnePlus, I always feel like im one swipe away from this thing freezing, idk if that makes any sense.
No one much will afford nothing. So enjoy what you have. 🙏🇦🇺

I've owned the z folds from 3 through 5. To be honest they don't really live up to the hype. The gimmick of having the big screen wanes fairly quickly and ultimately you're left with the realization that you paid waaaaay too much for a phone that is like carrying a VHS tape in your pocket
Gone are the days of buying the Z Flip for $50.00 + Trade in!😢 OH, well, it was great while it lasted! WE FIXIN TO BE BROKE!

Kept my Fold 3 till the Fold 5. Will be keeping my Fold 5 till Fold 7 or 8. These incremental updates by Samsung are not exciting enough to update.

I love Samsung but concerning the thousands of s24's doing the video well Samsung does not have a good track record with that, cast your mind back to India when Samsung said they were recording the Rhianna concert I think it was her or whoever they sponsor well they found out it was a 2 year old I phone 12 or 13 probably 13 so yep take what Samsung say with a pinch of salt
