    Great Lecture- if you need to put two color in one Cell (Green for completed and red for the incomplete task, max is 5) you can do it: =IF(B4/C4=1,(sparkline(B4,{"Charttype","bar";"Color1","green";"max",C4})),sparkline(B4,{"Charttype","bar";"Color1","red";"max",C4}))

      What if the projects that I wanna track completion are different file names? For example this is for coaching, another file auditing, another file is huddles. How can I get those values from different files?

      Is there a way to make the bar change colors base on the amount of progress? like Red for 1 and 2, Yellow for 3 and 4 and then Green at 5?

    Hi! Great vid! But I had a lot of problems making it work. It seems that, right now, the correct syntax that works is =SPARKLINE(A5 ;{"charttype"\"bar";"max"\100}) with a semicolon instead of a colon and a backslash instead of colon between the options

    I am still trying to learn google sheet and I plan to make a project similar to this.
    The task is for the Supervisors to complete their coaching within the week. The numbers of agents to be coached vary. 1 supervisor may have 18, 1 may have 20 but if they were able to complete the coaching per agent to the max number of agents within the Team then the report should show 100%.
    Subscribed! I hope you all can help me with this. They use form by the way to enter the data.

My question is because I've seen this done in excel and I'm unsure if it can be done in google sheets... is there a way to show the total on the progress bar as well? For my purposes I need a total running sum of the dollar amounts. Thank you for your help!

    Hi thank you so much for the tutorial! Really helpful and eye opening - had no idea you could use progress bars inside of a cell till watching this vid. Question - is there a way to make the progress work towards financial goals? For example say I wanted to save $300. Would there be a formula that would be applicable to be able to log amounts to then change the bar based on how close you are to that goal? A slow way of doing this would I found from watching this tutorial would be to enter every single number in a series in the data validation list of items criteria, however it's extremely slow and I feel like there must be a better way using a formula. Also is there a way to add a data label to show a percentage on the bar itself? Thank you so much! Appreciate this vid a lot!!

    • @giovannipiris5285
      @giovannipiris5285 3 года назад

      Answered one of my questions - for anyone curious you can simply remove the data validation from the cell and enter any number into the original 1-5 cell in the tutorial and enter the max value as well and the progress bar will still work the same. So for example you remove the data validation from the first cell and just type in 50 and set the max value in the second cell / column and it will work based on the percentage. Still not sure how to actually display the percentage yet but I'm sure it's just an addition to the sparkline formula

    • @giovannipiris5285
      @giovannipiris5285 3 года назад +1

      ***FOR EVERYONE WONDERING ABOUT DISPLAYING PERCENTAGES***
      I didn't find a direct way to do it on the bar itself however you can add a percentage to any cell alongside the bar. For this example let's say your original number is in cell C2 and the max value is in D2. In the cell where you want to display the percentage, you put =(C2/D2). It will then give you the percentage in decimal form. In Google Sheets there's actually a percent button in the main toolbar underneath where the menu is. You can click that and it will convert the decimal number into a percentage. You can also get rid of decimal places WITHOUT using a TRUNC function by just using the buttons alongside the percentage button to move the decimal point so it's just a whole number percentage being displayed. Hope this helps anyone that was curious on a way to do this. Not perfect but it works!
