Good time to jump in. Which I am going to be doing. Hopefully next full wipe is 1.0. I can see a bit of lack of motivation playing up till 4.0 with this though.
Think we all welcome a wipe, it was obvious as we rely more and more on the 4.0 codebase, you just can't continue this awesome forward march in features/content and gameplay without wiping the slate clean, start afresh, its good for the game, and the soul. Like many actually own STORE brought ships, so all's good, i myself don't beyond paying for the sundries, so have no need to ''Grind for Greed'', equally i own all i have such as Flair, Paints and a very healthy credit pool, so buying store ships/vehicles i feel is a common sense way to both play, and enjoy the game, and of course is all you need is a cheap starter package to enjoy the game. So, we should all give CIG a rousing high-five, for their concerted efforts, in being to be able to take us to 4.0 before the end of the year, with the added bonus of all these new features/ships and of course, not forgetting the jewel. We need a realistic economy, there needs to be cost, balance and a level of worth to what we own, do and aim for. Stop gaps are indeed being removed, large ships will need a crew, owning a Pioneer is either performing a public service, or a massive Org resource, taking crafting/BB to the next level and an essential requirement for growth, yet with requirements way beyond the scope of a Solo player. We are indeed getting a well deserved ice-bucket, many i know are totally rebalancing their Fleet, gameplay choices and expectations, i notice far to many Noob backers refusing to take onboard the hard truths that have been laid out so clearly. I can only imagine the excitement for those backers that have been here since the early, heady days of the ''Kickstarter'', and where we stand now, at the dawn of this next major stage, 4.0/Pyro and that jump to Pyro, Good times indeed.
I purchased almost every ship ingame but I almost only use the ships i pledged for. The are my favorite ones. So the wipe is somhow good for me and I can understand the reasons.
