Kevy I've enjoyed many of your videos now, and i know you and friendship shaving are fans of the Rocca. I got the Rocca for christmas and previously had regularly used the r89 and the 3one6. I was disappointed in the quality of machining and lack of weight in the more expensive 3one6. For the price, id say the rocca is the best stainless steel razor on the market today, only shaved with it a handful of times since Christmas but wow, best I've ever used and will be the one I use most going forward. Absolutely amazing intro to this video, Kevy! I love your sense of humor and the way you explain things. I've always enjoyed the length of your videos because it suits your personality, ie. very detailed yet fun descriptions and some excellent commentary along the way as well. I really think the whole matter concerning the definition of "aggression"and "efficient" was best described (and made the most sense I feel) by a person on Badger & Blade offering what distinguishes them, and I'm not stating verbatim: Aggression has to do more with SKIN cutting and levels of irritation whereas efficiency was the degree and ability to HAIR cutting and removal. I am hoping that I have not misinterpreted what the gentleman said, as I feel they are not mutually exclusive (both conditions can be present) but this to me makes sense in defining them.
Top class analysis of two beautiful and affective razors. Lots of smiles along the way, P&B Citra Royale has been a top performer of late for me.

Not to be patronizingly agreeable, but an actual winner is impossible to call. Each combatant have equal features that lend to their respective efficiency. I did notice that during the 3rd pass, that your finger grip on the Rocca is different. I can't say definitively that this was due to right hand dominance vs handle length/shape. Passes 1 & 2 had the Rocca dominant in intense feedback. It wasn't until the ATG pass where the Dart exploded with meat cleaver through ribs on a butcher block feedback! This challenge is a draw as far as I'm concerned. Both competitors are attractive, well designed, and intensely efficient. This being said; I say the star of this duel was the referee- NIVEA. That cream held both scalpels at bay. It provided a cloud of slickness these brutes skated across without any friction. The I.C. KS2 was its usual awesomeness. I don't know what to say regarding blade choice as I'm not a huge proponent of Pol/Silver. I see you've surpassed 5200 subs!! I knew hat would occur before the end of August. On a completely unrelated issue, does the logic that forum member used consider Riley as aggressive, or efficient? Congrats, mate! Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Kevy. Another crazily fantastic shaving video. I love that you compared these two razors. I wanted the Muhle Rocca...until the stabilizer pin defect can to light. I am sure that was corrected in the most current version. I am not feeling the pull of the Blackland Dart. I do like it is solid stainless steel. The Rocca wins by looks, yet they are meant to shave with and the one that gives the best shave...wins. Unfortunately, it seem to be a tie. I will just sit back until there is a definite winner. Thanks for all the entertainment while dispensing the necessary information. You are the best at that. Take care and see you in 2019.

On its own the Dart is a nice looking razor but next to the Rocca not so much. 😁

Good video Kevy! I had been thinking about getting the Rocca but after watching your last couple of videos I'm leaning more towards the Dart as I really like a more mild but efficient razor. One of my favorite razors, the Feather AS-D2, is extremely mild but also incredibly efficient which to me, provides for a very comfortable shave. Have a good week.
Hey Tim. I wouldn't say either of these razors fall into the mild category. Both are efficient razors with a bit of blade feel. The Dart has slightly less blade feel than the Rocca I would say. I've never tried an AS-D2 so can't compare how it shaves against these two. But whatever you choose, you'll get a great shaving, efficient razor. Cheers. Kevy 😀

Yes I was one of them. I like Rocca and I watched you shaving with Dart and it got my attention. I learn a lot about new razors only watching shaving videos..especially your videos because you you have so same "fixed" way of shaving in videos that you can really study razors watching your videos.
Does the Rocca have about the same feel as the FUTUR on setting 4? I'd really like to know.

Hi Kevy I did try the Admiral Grooming shave cream on Sunday the shave cream does not lather it’s more of a cream that covers the face it’s very light in texture when you use the brush to lather as on the box it says to Wet Bristles of shaving brush apply shaving cream to brush lather product into brush once enough product is on the brush apply evenly onto the skin the shaving cream does not foam I did email them thought something wasn’t right they tell me that it’s designed that way but I can say the shave cream is very good unique ingredients

Kevy Shaves its brushless but they do say on the packaging to use a brush its more of a runnie cream texture when you try to lather it up that's how its supposed to be they tell me it dosnt foam up but can lather it up like a runnie paste the shave and I with the shaving cream was very good order there products and find out there on sale very cheap plus they have 30 days money back if you don't like the product you just send them an e-mail I'm find the moisture balm which I'm using daily very good make my skin so smooth use it in the morning and night as it says on the bottle pre shave is good to overall the products are so good.

The Rocca is definitely on my next razor list. But I think I prefer the black handled version of it, over the bamboo handle.
I currently have the Rockwell 6S and use plate 6 mostly with it. I love the 6S, but would like another razor for my choice. I would be interested to know, if the Rocca would be more efficient than the Rockwell 6S would be with plate 6, as a reason for me adding a new razor to my collection, would be to have a more efficient razor than I have now.
I would say the Rocca is similar razor to plate 6 of the 6S but it has a different feel than that razor. Moe efficient...? Hmmm, I would say it's about the same as the 6S on plate 6 but the Rocca has more blade feel. It's a beautiful razor but personally, I wouldn't say it's better than the 6S but as ever, I would suggest trying it out for yourself. Youmight like it more. Ask if you can borrow one to try from someone. Cheers. Kevy 👍😀

I think I'll pair it (to begin with at least) with an Astra SP blade and keep the Feather blades I have, for my Rockwell (which work well for me with the Feather's).

The Rockwell doesn't feel as aggressive as these two razors in my opinion. It also gives a much smoother shave and doesn't have as much blade feel on the face as the Rocca or the Dart. Cheers. Kevy 😀

I didn’t care for the Dart at all. Somehow I managed to absolutely massacre my face with it and it’s supposed to be a 6/10 aggressiveness. I returned it. My Sabre is much smoother. As a straight razor user, I have no idea how I got such bad results with the Dart and it’s safety bar.
I wouldn't worry about it. The Blackland return policy is excellent. It's weird how some razors, blades, etc., work for some and others can't get along with them. There's just no telling who will like what! That's why this hobby is so much fun.
Hey Kevy, thank you for the comparison! I would love to see the Dart compared to the Rockwell. I have the SS and C versions and shave with 3 or 4 but do use 5 or 6 base plates with four days growth.
