okay, so the thing is after MBBS you get to choose between permanent commission and short service commission. For permanent commission you can do PG super speciality and everything that you wish to do and anywhere that you wish to do, many doctors here have done MCh and DM from AIIMS, PGI etc. Now coming to Short service commission, you get to do PG just like permanent commission, after 4 years post internship. But after Pg the bond is increased by another 6 years, so total of 14 years of service including the internship and PG course. After this you get ex servicemen quota for DM|MCH in army hospitals. Also if you wish to leave after 7 years post MBBS without PG, you get the same ex servicemen quota for PG In ARMY hospitals, and it’s pretty much easy to bag the seat of your choice that way. Also for in service pg the cutoffs are insanely low, so you get your seat of choice almost 70_~80% of times, so in this era of reservations, this security is something you’ll reaslise the importance of only after MBBS, after NEET ug everyone thinks they’ll do neet pg and bag the seat of their choice easily, but it doesn’t happen always. Many many people have to take a drop of 1~2 years, if lucky. There are so many ppl who have to take drop more than 2 times, so you aren’t going to save time or anything outside in fact being in army you’ll get a great pay before your pg. In my opinion, if you’re getting AFMC, you should take it, you won’t regret it ever! Also for the sake of validity of my opinion, I’ve done my MBBS from AFMC!

I was convinced by most of the points but that 7 year bond was a massive disadvantage that should be considered if someone wants(is passionate) to become a good doctor and wants to do speciality and superspecility because after 7 years you are like a grown up man(probably married) starting everything from near zero.
@Foolish Devil There is a difference between in-service PG and the independent PG one pusues. You are eligible for in-service PG, not allowed to leave the armed forces.
@Foolish Devil The curriculum is of course the same except for the fact that the army life around you still remains the same and the bond becomes yet stronger with 5 more years of service after your PG.

I would like to clarify one fact, actually those interested in doing PG can do it but only after serving in the army for 3 years, and guess what you get priority in AFMC for being an army doc.
Another fact the armed forces themselves send you abroad for fellowship and other Courses, best example being Dr Madhuri Kanitkar. Also she is no more the dean🥲.
@@DrAditya2935 also one point which I feel you missed to highlight - This is the only place from where you can apply for Permanent Service Commission in Armed forces as doc. Very informative video Dr. Gupta. I think you can do a PG if you’re in permanent commision after 3/4 years. Also they have army quota to join PG in colleges under the army.
Yesss I'm totally attracted by the beauty of AFMC but I want to be an oncologist so this college shouldn't be an option for me ... yess I respect nationality, patriotism , all the perks, rules and regulations, everything makes so proud but I can't give up on what that made me to choose Doctor as an occupation... I lost my brother coz of it ... and as he wanted to see me as a doctor, I decided to be a great oncologist....
Nothing as such of physical rigor since SSB is not conducted unlike any other entry of the armed forces however the interview is ofc there where you'll be facing a panel of officers , PS:you can even after having completed your training and mbbs course voluntarily apply for the parchute regiment 😁

Bhaiya , bond condition is changed after completing MBBS both pc and ssc are allow to do pg after 4 years And Then pg bond of 7 year is implemented after completion of pg.
Ragra is kinda' an integral part of the armed forces specially during the training period so it's something quite obvious and not to be misunderstood with being toxic as even you have mentioned perks are a cut above however the life that an armed forces personnel has to lead is really too difficult whatever be the Corp of service (medical , engineering, logisticians, aviation, infantry arti etc) every single personnel is quite well aware of the fact that there life is solely for the Nation come may what so yea' people who are attracted by perks and pay scales should acknowledge em' selves of the fact that it's not at all for the afformentioned purpose , coming to the point academic growth one has to have that fire from within moreover you don't have to worry at all about the pg medical officers need not clear neet pg they are made to do the pg internally if interested

Brother how you split your camera and notes screen side by side. In my iPad it is not happening. Is there any other camera app you using or what? Please tell me!
brother there is another disadv. , if the dr. Is a short commision officer then he won't get any armed forces quota for their pg entrance exam, and for the matter of fact only 50% of passing out officers of afmc get perm. commision
Why rely on RUclips......AFMC ki website pe information bulletin available hai (27 pages) with all the possible things you need to know. Please read that. It will clear all your doubts.
Guptaji , but if the cadets declared medically unfit due to disease/illness which is beyond their control and do not refuse treatment would the bond money collected?. Thanking you☺️
@@DrAditya2935 that’s not exactly true. The thing is, if you’re declared unfit just before joining, you’re practically free to go with no bond money. The problem arises when you’re declared unfit earlier, say in 1st year or 2nd year, in that case you’ve to bear the training fees which is huge, comes to around 30 lakhs up and above the remaining bond money( bond money is calculated based on the years of service/ training left, for example if I were to leave in 1st year, the bond to pay would be something on the lines of 5-6 lakhs rupees but in final year it would be 30 lakh rupees for 2020 batch.
Also when you’re declared unfit, there are two categories, one in Which you had no control over the disability suffered, in which case you have to pay no bond money and the other case is when you had control over it, for example accidents while playing on field, now there’s some ambiguity here, the board decides what was and wasn’t under your control and there aren’t strict rules about it, so most of the times you end up paying the bond. There are cases in SC about the same. But such things are rare, say one or two ppl per batch.
my dad is in army when i was younger i too wanted to be a army doctor but when i grew up and knew a lot more things about military peoples life its not my cup of tea especially posting wala part cause i have seen my dad being posted to such dangerous places and deep down i am always scared for his life
You mentioned the same points someone said to me a week back. He was in the Air Force years back. That yesmanship and hierarchy (he said strict hierarchy is one thing, but it'll become unbearable when it becomes toxic) and that the you'll have to forget me, mine - concept otherwise, you'll think of yourself as slave and loose youe efficiency
That is why it’s important to chose your mentors carefully. Yesmanship and hierarchy aside, as a doctor your job is to treat patients and be good at that, you can be the best in your field and that is that. No senior is ever gonna hamper your academic growth. In the army medical core the hierarchy is nothing compared to the other units of Army. In airforce and navy it’s practically nonexistent.
Sir first of all thnkuh so much for giving the information to us from your precious time being. I have a question what if my 12th % in pcb aggregate are only 50% ?am I eligible for AFMC?
Man, the life is tough out there.. As iam from an army background and an alumni of Army public school..u will be given Uniform, canteen facilities and all..and there is no doubt that Indian Army pays good amount of money to a new graduate but in long term the civilian doctors after their specialisation are gonna make more money as compared to doctors in Indian army...and they become expertised soon as there is no provision to do PG in Indian army before the bond period.👍👍

The hierarchy and yesmanship is not only limited to your level....I am an army child myself and I can guarantee that being a JCO's child....too much partiality in schools also...rn my father is posted in AFMC..it's good watching the cadets here(the students are called cadets only)....but in army sometimes it can be hectic moving every 3 years and sometimes even in 1 year you get the postings....it can be hard
@Eden it prove there is much partiality and seclusion in army and there is no deny in it
7 years Of Bond seems at AFMC seems like
" You have a Rolls Royce , but cannot Drive it "
😂
😂😂
After listening all this advantage and disadvantages 😏
Even then who want to join AFMC? 😍😍
Meee
IN AFMC ... DISCIPLINE IS NOT THAT MUCH TOUGH ... IT'S EASY ... AND OBVIOUSLY THERE IS ALSO FREEDOM .... TO ENJOY , TO LIVE LIFE IN OWN WAY .. BUT WITH SLIGHT/MODERATE DISCIPLINE ..... AS WELL ... AFMC DOCTOR'S ALSO SERVES COMMON PEOPLE ALL OVER INDIA ..... INCLUDING ARMIES ... !!!!
But Yes , The Only and Only Disadvantages are 7yrs and 60 lacs of Bond ... After that .. You can Do .. Specialisation in whichever Field anyone want ... !!! BUT "DISCIPLINE" .. Word .. is that which People always used to Think ..... It means ... "First of All Commit any Task and don't try to leave in between" ... Should have to Complete that Task when once Committed .... and follow the all Orders of Senior Teachers .... and after that .. you can enjoy freedomly in your own way .... THOUGH AFMC , Pune for Armed Forces .. One can Serve Whole Nation too .... Many People Cannot get a Chance to work as an Armed Force with Armies for serving our GREAT "BHARAT MAATA" ... So , we should feel Proud ... and Again I m saying that .. AFMC's Doctors also serves .. Common People in Hospitals/Nursing of Publics as well can Open his/her Clinic too ... !!! Also .. Research Facilities available nationally and internationally both ....... INFINITY LEVEL GREAT GREAT COLLEGE ... !!! .... I myself in AFMC , Pune ... and I feel Proud to be Here in AFMC as Medical Cadet ... !!🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 JAI HIND ... !!!
I would like to clarify one fact, actually those interested in doing PG can do it but only after serving in the army for 3 years, and guess what you get priority in AFMC for being an army doc.
But the bond time increases right after PG? A lot of people including me have that doubt.
Yep
Another fact the armed forces themselves send you abroad for fellowship and other Courses, best example being Dr Madhuri Kanitkar.
Also she is no more the dean🥲.
@@DrAditya2935 also one point which I feel you missed to highlight -
This is the only place from where you can apply for Permanent Service Commission in Armed forces as doc. If you apply later after completing MBBS from some other med college you will be Commissioned but under Short Service Commission [3yrs min and 7yrs max ] so do the future planning as well.

Finally a video for me 😭 AFMC Pune is Love.
Thanx for this video... Previously I was distracted of pursuing mbbs in different college other than AFMC and then get back to defence through another board.... But now AFMC is for final .. I haven't dreamt for it... It's my destination...
@@nehagupta2863 where are you now dear ?
@@aadityaschool3454 i tried my best and even scored 637...but this time due this nta neet scam it'll be impossible to get into afmc....for now it's via another board only ...I'm sorry I couldn't be a good example
As behind some medical students there's a disease of someone they love ....
Yesssss behind me , it's cancer ! I lost my brother coz of it ... and as he wanted to see me as a doctor, I decided to be a great oncologist....
All the best ❤❤❤❤
What was your score ??
Whenever i see you i smile sir you have a charisma
I was thinking not to take a drop but now u changed my mind.......Aiming for it sir.......thnk u ..🙏
For me AFMC is no. 1 college .. its my only aim till now

I was wondering over this since last 2 months... Thanks a lot sir..
my dream clg AFMC 😍😍😍
I was thinking not to take a drop but u changed my mind. Now I am aiming AFMC. Plzz tell more about cut off and physical test .
Hi, are you getting a college this year?
@@DrAditya2935 No actually I have got 499.
Nothing as such of physical rigor since SSB is not conducted unlike any other entry of the armed forces however the interview is ofc there where you'll be facing a panel of officers , PS:you can even after having completed your training and mbbs course voluntarily apply for the parchute regiment 😁
@sheetal thakur NEET 2021 cutoff for AFMC is 609+(for boys) and 627+(for girls) and number of seats for boys is more than of girls
@@dsp.sunilkumartyagi9704 Girls too can apply for parachute regiment??? And do clear that .....how can we be promoted to major or lieutenant after 20yrs of service??? Do reply fast

Thankyou for ur honest reviews sir❤
Bhaiya , bond condition is changed after completing MBBS both pc and ssc are allow to do pg after 4 years
And Then pg bond of 7 year is implemented after completion of pg.
Such a grt video!
My dad was in the indian air force as a fighter pilot. I studied it TAFS for 3 years great school(better than golden jubilee to a certain extent😏) but love your videos and thanks for highlighting the fact that AFMC is probably the second best college after AIIMS
Very true content sir
Sir, can you please do a video on doing post graduation in afmc ? Wanna know in very detail about it
Thank you sir 🙂💕💯🇮🇳

Thank you for very good information.
Please share about medical college in Gujarat.
Not for salary not for perks
Just to serve my nation and soldiers
It's a bit difficult for girls
Cause they have thier period problems ,cramps etc and I have heard they have a lot of trainig ..
But I'm sure girls can do it and are capable of it
There are lots of female in the army

can you serve in the forces as a doctor if you have done mbbs from a college other than afmc?
Yes.

Brother how you split your camera and notes screen side by side.
In my iPad it is not happening.
Is there any other camera app you using or what?
Please tell me!
brother there is another disadv. , if the dr. Is a short commision officer then he won't get any armed forces quota for their pg entrance exam, and for the matter of fact only 50% of passing out officers of afmc get perm. commision
Yup but you can get through ex serviceman quota ( category 4 )
Bhaiya please AFMC ka pura selection process batao through neet.
RUclips par kisi ne bhi complete information nhi de rakhi he. 🙏
Why rely on RUclips......AFMC ki website pe information bulletin available hai (27 pages) with all the possible things you need to know. Please read that. It will clear all your doubts.
Ur every video is really awesome....really liking all of them....n good accent btw!!
Afmc psnd hai....pr army ke bare mei pta nhi...but bond is too discouraging...
Guptaji , but if the cadets declared medically unfit due to disease/illness which is beyond their control and do not refuse treatment would the bond money collected?. Thanking you☺️
Yes. This is a huge disadvantage. If before joining you’re declared unfit - you won’t be allowed to join - and have to pay bond money.
@@doctord2897 30 lakhs is changed with 61 this year check thE new notice in the webSite

Can you say something abt opting for super speciality in AFMC? Do they again have medical fitness for super speciality too? Thank you
Yes
In airforce and navy it’s practically nonexistent.

why should i break bond when they give salary 57k to 2 lakhs per month
Man, the life is tough out there..
As iam from an army background and an alumni of Army public school..u will be given Uniform, canteen facilities and all..and there is no doubt that Indian Army pays good amount of money to a new graduate but in long term the civilian doctors after their specialisation are gonna make more money as compared to doctors in Indian army...and they become expertised soon as there is no provision to do PG in Indian army before the bond period.👍👍
Simple you'll be restricted in many ways...
if u r selected in afmc in all things and ur name has came in merit list then can u leave afmc before going on 1st day of college
