My neighbor did her MBBS from Maulana Azad and currently, she's a specialist in a reputed govt college. She once told me that many of her friends weren't able to crack PG even after many attempts because after getting a govt seat they became very overconfident and started enjoying their college lives. I'm taking admission in a private college this year and she gave me some advice that I'll surely remember, that the journey isn't over and there's still a long way to go, you've to enjoy your college life but at the same time you've to work hard.

    1. Kuch better profession choose kro.
    2. BOND is better than Studying for AIIMS for an average student.
    3. AIM for Good Duty roster, less night calls and average salary after age 25 years when you plan marriage.
    4. Don't study more to earn more. Earning is different from learning.
    5. BOND is beneficial if you like salary than Degrees.
    6. Degrees help you get higher salary if you don't have BOND. otherwise your Degrees don't get you higher salary. All get same pay scale i.e. of a doctor. No separate pay scale for specialt Degrees. Some states offer 7-15000 extra per month. Not worth studying for PG degree
    7. Length of service matters. Every year pay hike for all. Initial pay are less always. Even for specialist PG degree.
    8. Private practice with your salary job is generally not allowed. Doctors earning is banned or regulated by law.
    9. Plan wisely... if join as MBBS doctor... Every year pay hike... learn clinical skills...no Study/PG entrance compulsory...
    10. PG degree comes at a cost... 3-4 years, lesser salary than your MBBS counterpart, expense on fees, accomodation, and food.... Also,no regard or respect for your efforts to clear PG entrance.
    11. AIIMS, PGI se krke confidence jaldi aa jata hai, pr on-Job all perform almost equal. Very few exceptions.
    12. Clinical job is very different and more important than medical college learning. Clinical experience matters most. Learn clinical skills to earn better. Join good hospitals as junior doctors to learn while earn.
    13. You can not resign BOND service because BOND MONEY is huge if you break BOND. And hiring an Advocates very costly. Only advisable if have surplus money to invest for International career and court expenses.
    ....many more

Why do you want to spend time in bonds?
Answer to you question Dr.Gupta- Government colleges provide medical education at a subsidised fees by using taxpayers money. The state expects the students of such colleges to serve the state or underserved areas of such states to uplift the quality of medical care in return of providing medical education at a nominal fees. Yes it might seem a burden but if you use state resources you'll have to give back to the society.

Sir if rankings really doesn't matter then you might not have said all your AIRs that actually happened in 2012 or after your ug, and if rankings are not a point concern then AIIMS Delhi will not have such a humongous cut offs every year, and if rankings doesn't matter doing your ug pg and dm in Aiims Delhi itself is near to senseless ness, you're still with aiims Delhi because you want to and why you want that is that it's the best RANKING medical college, please don't wipe off the reality that some colleges are ranked top because they deserve that and we work to be deserved as much as our dream colleges are! And it's a complete shit that you're happy even if you didn't get what you want, career never gets better when you compromise, you have to work until you get the thing that you need, and someone who has done his UG PG and DM in AIIMS DELHI is never eligible to advice that someone has to get compromised with any college they got. Which one to prefer? Is there some possibility in future to get internal pg in peripheral AIIMS too? And compared to the number of seats in bhu pg and upcoming nmc enhancement in pgs in central instulitutes, shall i prefer AIIMS Bhubaneswar?

      Not at all brother.
If you are going for a private college then choose the best one.
Hum mbbs kaha se krte hain it doesn't really matter.
PG kaha se krte hai is the main focus.
Mbbs aap chahe private se kro government se kro ya aiims se kro, pdhna khud he hai.
Aur private agar paisa zyada leta hai toh padhayega bhi acche se.
Aur baar baar ug pe time mat lagao kyuki journey boht lambi hai.
Dekhte he dekhte 5 saal kb nikal jayenge pta bhi nhi chlega.
And your performance in mbbs has no connection with your performance in neet ug,and yes for the sake of your dreams everything is worth it.
Private colleges are completely worth it.
      So go for it brother
      Start the journey.
      All the very best.
      May you shine bright. 👍⭐

There is absolutely no point of a bond. None whatsoever.
      It’s 2 y wastage for no reason.
You’ll realise MBBS is a lot about self study and actual skills are acquired in PG.
      so take AIIMS Guwahati.
