You are going to loooooove The Nightengale! You’re so lucky that you get to experience it for the first time. It’s so good. It definitely made me ugly cry on an airplane 😂
Been watching you since you started on here and as I was starting this video I thought “I think I’d be friends with her in real life.” 😂 Thank you for providing a happy and welcoming space here 😊
O, I have been absolutely loving your Bookmas vids everyday and I hope you do more vlogs because it's like I'm watching my friend enjoy our common interest on FaceTime LOL. You are the first booktube channel that I came across that reviews the books in a way that makes people (ME) want to read what you are recommending. Even if its not a genre that I am used to reading, the way you talk about the plot and your wayof words used for how the book made you feel or how the characters are really inspire people to read xyz. Keep doing what you are doing
okay stop i'm actually going to cry. thank you for always being so supportive, i've absolutely loved getting to chat with you about all the bookish things.
I think AB belongs between HoF and QoS. I know that isn't a popular opinion, but I'm doing my first read through read now and I really don't know how anyone could truly argue any other way, I think the first three books let you get to know and love Celena and the world and there isn't too many characters. In my opinion, AB serves as an intro to some rather important characters later on in the story and it is referenced SO much in QoS. The references are the biggest reason I think it belongs there. Also wanted to add that I have loved all your Bookmas content and can't wait to watch the rest of your videos!!
I haven’t read QoS yet, but I agree that I wouldn’t have wanted AB before TOG for example because the reveals hit so much harder. Like I couldn’t imagine having known the full story going into it because we weren’t supposed to have all that background yet… AND SJM wrote them in this precise order, so why would I go against her personal recommendation 😅
Luna, not sure you’ll see this but as a dancer myself who ALSO had fouettés choreographed into a piece it’s terrifying and hard but do not let that 16 count ruin your entire dream of Snow Queen. It doesn’t make you less than, but I know it’s frustrating. You mentioned being on your period during these rehearsals and I will say that our periods really do affect our balance and center. You may have had a bad dress, but you are a gorgeous artist and you will be absolutely STUNNING!
I read assassins blade first when starting TOG and to be honest… it spoiled so many fun reveals in the first book 😭😭😭 I think if you want the fun mystery and reveal then wait to read it as the third book instead of the first. If you don’t really care about that then totally read it first, it gives a great intro to the main character before TOG and you’re in on all the little secrets that Maas sprinkles through the first books. But also, since this is a re read for you, you probably already know what happens in the books so maybe the reveals won’t be as shocking but idk!!! Regardless, I found assassins blade to be so much better than the first TOG books so have fun reading it (whenever you choose to put it in the line up haha)!
All the lights we can not see is amazing!! (also the series is good), I cant wait to start reading Kristin Hannah books in 2025 also Burry our Bones- VE Schwab when it comes out, The Memory Collectors- Dete Meserve!
Great recs!! I loved All the Light We Cannot See 😍 I really want to read The Last Unicorn in 2025, I picked it up from Goodwill a couple months ago so I need to get to it! Really want to get to more VE Schwab books too!
I LOVE the book and the movie, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close!! The Alchemist is one of my GOATs. I reread it every few years! I re read TOG series this year for the same reason and it was EVEN BETTER the second time around. ENJOY it! I read Assassin's Blade first the first time, and third the second time. I recommend reading it 3rd, for sure! It's also what SJM recs. Merry BOOKMAS, Olive! 🎄🍻
hi merry bookmas!!! thank you so much for watching! i'm so excited to read TOG again - i think i am going to read AB third, that seems to be what everyone is saying now.
Book recommendation for you - The Little Wartime Library by Kate Thompson. It’s historical fiction AND a book about books AND it’s based on an actual wartime library that operated underground during WWII (complete with photos at the end of the book). I really hope you read it because I think you’ll like it.
Oh I wasn't expecting to see Paulo Coelho on this list, what a great surprise! I'm brazilian but have never read anything by him, guess I'll start with this one.
First of all, Love your videos ! I read Assassin Blade first. I know .. controversial opinion. But you get so much background on the main character and what she's been through. I think I enjoyed more Throne of Glass because of that.
I’m also going to be reading the throne of glass series in 2025. I was really not sure how to read the series but I think I’m finally settled on reading it in publication order. One person mentioned to wait to read the Assasins Blade as the 3rd of 4th book bc you don’t care about the character yet to read it first. Plus I also heard the author suggested to read it third I believe. These are just some comments I heard, but also was told read the books in whatever order that will allow you to finish it, so I liked that mindset!
@@ChrystallinaaI didn’t read AB first and I’m SO glad! Wouldn’t do it any other way. We’re not meant to know the full backstory in the first two books. Hits so much harder when you don’t!
love your content and this might just be me but the book slamming is loud and jarring. now granted I have hyperacusis and I'm usually wearing an earbud since I listen while working or walking but it seems loud.

I love the intros to your videos, they always feel like a short film or something
that's funny, I always skip it. . I skip a lot of intros though if they are usually the same.
Been watching you since you started on here and as I was starting this video I thought “I think I’d be friends with her in real life.” 😂 Thank you for providing a happy and welcoming space here 😊
omg that's so sweet - thank you for sticking around so long, it literally means so much to me 🥹
I'm so happy to have discovered your channel recently. Your home is so lovely and I love hearing you gush about books.

I very rarely re-read books. I've read Guernsey at least four times. It's definitely the best epistolary novel I've ever encountered.
it is so good!
