Victoria is very honest and speaks the truth, but gets beat up because of it. Honest people see what is going on, it is not fair at all. Freedom of speech is under attack. Victoria is very brave, like we all should be.

I agree with the sentiment. I think we should be able to talk to each other and let people say their beliefs. But my one annoyance is the expectation the country should be Christian by default when our politics should be separate from religion. It has been frustrating to hear people use religion to push agendas and then say they're attacked when other people push back against the power of Christianity in politics.

There are millions of gay people that had no representation on TV or in film and still plenty of gay people came out. No one decides they are gayt by watching a gay character on TV.

Victoria Jackson was snubbed air time on the SNL 40th Anniversary Special for the following reasons:
1. Despite being a liberal when on SNL, she's currently conservative.
2. She opposes gay marriage
3. She's pro-Second Amendment Rights.
4. She wasn't an Obama supporter.
Remove all 3 of those factors, and Lorne Michaels would have been like "of course you can be part of the festivities." Re-watch the special, and you'll notice that Sarah Palin was the only real conservative that was given face time on the special. But, that was only because Tina Fey portrayed Palin on SNL for a few episodes back in 2008.
Victoria is doing a great job if this happened. She is a specialist in bringing out the true intentions in the hearts of "her friends".
They literally had Sarah Palin on the special. Victoria Jackson wasn’t on screen because most people either forgot all about her or never knew who she was, and she had no memorable recurring characters

She was one of the best. Of all the female former cast members she's the only one that pops in my head that I remember laughing at hysterically. She was brilliant and that cute little voice. She should have been front and center. She's a freaking legend in my book.

Even if Obama were Muslim (he isn't), why is that so threatening? It's a major world religion with a foundation in Judaism and Christianity. It's not any more violent that the other Abrahamic faiths, and like those religions, it has a great deal of good an beauty to it.

Well I don’t know if she can say that she has proof. By her own admission she spoke to the assistant who is the assistant who is the assistant to the assistant of Lorne Michaels. Hence, a person may have received the email but that doesn’t mean the message was conveyed to the people in charge. Given the the size of the event and last minute nature of the email it is plausible that her message may gotten lost. Also her views were known prior to her receiving an invitation, meaning if they wanted to exclude her they just wouldn’t have invited her in the first place.
Any of those are likely true. But its like politics, when you are called crazy for saying how vile, petty, and venal some people in the industry are, you are usually told afterwards quietly "yeah, its exactly like that".

4:02 She lost me when she said "homosexual themes" shouldn't be on prime time TV when children are watching. The cast she was with had an excellent 6 year run, and she contributed to some great skits, but the Victoria-specific material she did wasn't impressive.

It saddens me that people still feel homosexuality should be hidden away & shamed. Her politics complicates the narrative. I think there’s more to the story than she doesn’t want to see gays on TV, which itself doesn’t make sense either. Taking gays of a legendary comedy TV show doesn’t mean they don’t exist. And kids have friends who are gay and friends who have parents and relatives that are gay. Trying to keep gays of TV is not a smart move in entertainment.
