- Striking LCBO workers hold a rally in downtown Toronto, calling on the Ford government to reverse accelerated plans to open up the alcohol market. Afua Baah has the details on the ongoing, historic labour action.
Time to remove all forms of government from alcohol sales and catch up with the rest of the world.
Privatize....go get jobs if you strike like idiots ....privatize.
The union can spin it anyway they want but the general public doesn't care. They want lower alcohol prices 😊
Public sector unions are so entitled but yet so abused. End this monopoly now !!!
Tim Hortons employees work way harder than LCBO employees for a lot less money… Just my Opinion.
Free Market.
This strike seems so unnecessary as liquor will be available every where in time . I would be nervous working for lcbo.
They said 70% of LCBO workers are casual, that means they can't live on the measly shifts they get and the province doesn't have to give them benefits or anything else. They can get full time work in the private sector instead.
Nobody forced you to work for a Monopoly
Must be making too much money to be able to go on strike. Enjoy the weather while you can.
Stop drinking you’ll live longer
i used to work at the the warehouse most of the employees are casual labor that do hard jobs.. the retail end is a bunch of overpaid cashiers ... privatize it so we can get the prices that Quebec pays.
You can get a 60 of Canadian Club whiskey in the states for $17.99.... why is it 60 bucks up here? Privatize it
Get a grip. Quebec SAQ has been doing this forever.
Ontario needs to accept Margret Thatcher as it's lord and saviour, PRIVATIZE IT.
The peasants are revolting!
Union workers give taxpayer relief now
After 2 weeks these employees will realize they have no public support.
Ugh. These entitled unions.
When one can buy Canadian alcohol cheaper in the USA and in the province of Quebec, perhaps the LCBO needs to rethink their prices!
