Imagine if they did this show like how the games were. First season introduce Halsey, ONI, and the Spartans, particularly noble team. Then introduce the Covenant, and have the fall of Reach, with noble team sacrificing themselves to save Cortana and Master Chief. You can have them get picked off throughout the season like how it was in the game, in the final episode reveal Cortana and Master Chief, and then the final shot of the season could be the Pillar of Autumn teleporting away to reveal the Halo ring. That would have been hype.
@@tylerisse5120 On the contrary, with all of the padding from gameplay that they would have to cut for pacing and budget, I feel like there would have been a lot of downtime for more character work.
These ppl that made the show aren’t passionate about the series and don’t know what’s important to make a Halo story just decent. They could’ve easily given us a scene where at least ONE MAC orbital defense canon was destroyed. Soren is the only character in Halo lore where they gave him more character depth but gave him a terrible storyline.
While I do agree there should be some recoil I’m pretty sure Lore wise the UNSC’s weapons were advanced enough to severely dampen the recoil, if I’m not mistaken. But I’m sure if that’s the case the writers definitely didn’t know that and that’s definitely not why they have no recoil here.
Amazing how Soren is the one that manages the most to sound like a Spartan II should in that scene... Sometime I wonder if Pablo Screiber just overthought his role. That is, he took the whole "we never should see his face because it is the player" as "I'm gonna act like a gamer of the early 2000s instead of Master Chief". It is relatable, and he does act it good... but the character was originally loved because we aspire to be more, not because we wanted to be reminded of our weaknesses. Anyway. Really hyped for this seasons disc release. Already Pre-ordered on amazon and waiting for a release date to be announced!

@aydolnunguna7612 No Season 3. Halo has officially been canceled after two seasons. But it is being shopped to other networks for it to continue. However, we would rather for Paramount's Halo to die completely and start over from scratch with a better showrunner, writers, and crew that knows the source material of Halo and, most importantly, be set around the original trilogy of the games and its novels.
@@blw4089 The series is not part of the canon and was declared from the first season, and many things about the lore are respected, adaptation is not the same as live action of an already established story, like Netflix's Avatar

I've been having to fast forward through episodes. Nothing was learning from Season 1...this is officially the worst video game adaptation in history. Congrats on ruining the franchise.
The Halo TV show is a hideous and fetal caricature of the rich universe of source material they had to work with. They had the Golden Goose in their hands and decided to strangle it and parade it’s corpse. It is founded on a flawed and completely broken premise: the creators simultaneously proclaim proudly that the show is not an adaptation and that they are creating their own story with the “Silver timeline” while also completely relying on and leeching the hard work and nuanced writing it would take to establish the universe and that was established by the original games. They have created an abomination that looks and sounds like Halo and insisting it isn’t the Halo you know, all the while stuffing the abomination with context and background from the games and completely skipping or omitting background in their own show. Here are 3 separate examples Captain Keyes death was displayed as a very emotional moment in the series. They haven’t described his motives or his mindset on much of anything by the time he dies in the show. The only bit of interesting character motive and personality for Keyes is shown in two brief scenes in the previous episode. It is painfully apparent that the showrunners are relying on the context of his character from the games to appeal for an emotional response, this is hypocritical. You cannot say that you are writing a whole new Keyes while also doing the absolute minimum to establish him as a show character and then expect an emotional response to his death because we knew him from the games. According to your logic they are two different people, and unluckily for you, they feel and look like 2 different people. All throughout this awful series we are hammered over the head with the idea that John is The Master Chief, the paragon of human achievement and the greatest hero of humanity. Everywhere anyone goes in this show his armor and title is plastered everywhere. He has hologram ads in the streets and posters with inspiring words inside military installations. At the same time you display a character whose feats in battle are no more impressive than any of the other Spartan IIs that are portrayed, in terms of skill and notability he is of the same caliber as the rest of the Spartans, not noteworthy in the slightest. On the worst side of things you display a soldier who questions authority, is repeatedly insubordinate to the point of treason, and struggles to regulate his emotions, he conducts himself as a child. The man is an absolute liability, how on earth is this man child given the amount of praise and respect he is? Here we are again with them simultaneously saying they are portraying a different Master Chief while also stealing his status and context with none of the work or context to justify portraying him as such, it is pitiful and laughable. The Halo Ring itself. Never in the series has the origin, function, or danger of the Halo Ring been explained, either in a Covenant context or human context. They haven’t even landed or seen a Halo proper until Ep 7 of Season 2. And yet all through season II we have had The Covenant, ONI, Halsey, Cortana, and Master Chief all know what a Halo ring is, what it does, and “know” from DNA memory how it works. What the actual fetch. They are relying on our understanding from the games without showing an ounce of research or groundwork from people like Halsey to uncover their secrets. It is absolutely disgusting how unbelievably lazy the storytelling is.
Man, I am a big fan of Master Chief but the show won't attract me to press the repeat button. It's really awful to watch. The creators and staffs are in the highest dumbest level. The same people that ruined the Halo games. 😂😂😂
Including the actors, almost especially the actors. Henry Cavill had the decency and respect to leave the Witcher because of the showrunners/writers and he was litteraly born to play Geralt, and in no way does the man only appear as Geralt to me in any of his other roles, but no other person alive could've played geralt. Chief could've been a character in a show for 2 decades, until they ran out of stories, if they never removed his helmet, but now there's no chief when Pablo's gone, not that there's a chief with Pablo
This Reach battle according to this episode is futile and a lost cause. I played the video game Halo Reach and according to the Paramount series Noble team is wasted since Reach is already a lost cause. This is sorta disappointing to me.
Also, the bastardized adaptation of The Fall of Reach in Paramount+'s Halo feels too short and toned down compared to both the original 2001 book and the 2010 game, likely due to the show's limited budget. The writing and seeing Chief and his Spartans without their armor made them seem weaker. Thanks to the UNSC taking their armor away before the Fall of Reach, one female Spartan got critically injured and the other died by the Arbiter with a plasma needle.
Boy, this was disappointing. Nothing against any of the actors or crew working on this; they're just doing their jobs and I hope they get more and better work down the road. But boy was this bad. Just finished episode 6 and what little interest I had in continuing is gone. This poor excuse for a show has played out exactly like something made by people who got all they know about Halo from the videogame cover art and decided that was all they needed. Heaven forbid that Masterchief should be a competent, reliable leader and tactician, or that any of the characters' actions should make sense. "We're going to 'strategically' forfeit our biggest stronghold besides earth without a fight and, while we're at it, we're going to strand our best super soldiers there (the ones we didn't send on a suicide mission to die in the woods, that is) WITHOUT THEIR ARMOR, which we've taken with us because we can just give it to someone else later...you know...someone else with the EXACT SAME PROPORTIONS as the three SPARTANS it used to belong to. Oh and don't forget we need to leave Cortana, our most advanced AI at home as well to be captured or destroyed by the Covenant (which is absolutely acceptable) so they can learn about our remaining force deployments, weapons research and....oh yeah...EARTH. Did I forget anything? Well, I sure hope not now that I'm on this giant pelican that my ailing father DEFINITELY couldn't have fit on. I'm glad I at least remembered to feed him his poisoned Mike & Ike. Or was that his sleeping pill? Oh sh**t."
That's not Master Chief, and those aren't Spartan 2s. That's nothing like Halsey,....this is terrible. Paramount is robbing new viewers from the true characters and story.
