Completely agree my friend I'm a Sheffield Wednesday fan and know the majority of us would only ever want Hillsborough upgraded and improved rather than move to a modern bowl style home with no character or atmosphere like Leicester or Southampton and I don't know many Sheffield United supporters who would want our city rivals to ever leave Bramhall Lane either!

I've been to at least one match at all of these stadiums except Bournemouth,Brentford,the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium (went to the old White Hart Lane twice) and the Olympic Stadium that became West Ham's home (Upton Park was my most visited away ground as I went there 5 times). Tried to get tickets for the London Olympics when they were on but no joy.
They are so grand. I wish I can visit one of them once in my life. What I like most is the naming of those that's not end with "stadium". They sound so special and magical.
The last owners of Liverpool Hicks and Gillett said nothing could be added to Anfield when it was 45 thousand. It's 61 thousand now. Idiots who nearly put the club under too.

After a post-match pint and a detour round some of those nearby backroads trying to find my way one bright,sunny end-of-season day,I stopped up on top of one of the hills that surround the town and took in the panoramic view. In clear weather you can see a long way all around from up there. It was the classic northern vista with some of the mill chimneys still standing and the town nestled neatly within the rolling,rugged,hilly landscape.
I do too,though you almost need altitude training before accessing the away end. Newcastle's a great day (+ night) out,too,especially if the weather's good.
Its one drawback is not having a postage stamp's area of extra space to expand into,as it's completely hemmed in by some of the most expensive property in the land.
