good info finished up a cam swap today- will run some checks and see whats going on with my oil pressure- thanks for the video. oil pump cpver looked very smooth and flat and relief valve cleaned with magnet and spray. mine took literally 10s cranking on the dot to start so im wondering if my drain back valve is staying open or something..

How do you drain the oil in the housing if it won’t drain when you take the filter out?

Where did you get the tool? Just did and hoop and seals and etc fitting and stand pipes and bleed the system. After sitting over night it has long crank but after running and hit it starts up fine. This is the only thing I could think of left

I make these parts myself. A long crank has nothing to do with an empty oil filter housing. The oil sump around the oil cooler from which the HPOP gets its oil is still filled. There is probably some air in the HPO system. Drive the truck 20mls and give her WOT a few times and your issue should be gone.

@@MOSELFvideowould a long start after sitting overnight be because of this ?

@@fromtennessee9587 That is rather unlikely. Long starts are usually caused by problems/leaks in the HPO system.

Can you post the .stl for the tool somewhere? Thanks!
