Don't wait too long to play 2/5 again -- you gotta believe you belong when you sit at the table; that mental block is a huge factor for players shot taking and moving up.
You learned a valuable lesson with the AK hand. The jam on the river is definitely burning money, but you won't do that again. Gotta move forward! You played solid until then. Don't forget that.
    Good luck!

I used to have big swings. When you're up gotta play tighter. It's ok to get bluffed. Just fold. I think you are a 2/5 player now. 1/3 is going to get boring quickly.

AK will get you in trouble if you don't flop something

Good job Sir, don't let one bad play make you think you don't belong at 2/5. Stick with 2/5 way better game. You will win more in the long run.

Thanks man! The mistakes always bother me more than losing the pot! Been playing 2/5 more in current time.

    Lmfao
“How do you only go once there”
    I would’ve just said
“Because that’s the correct way to play the game “

Lmaoo, i always like once but I'll agree to go twice sometimes if the pots over 2k

Me personally I’m cool with either or but to get verbally upset about someone running it once is so bad for the game imo

I know you know you overplayed the AK, that board was all your opponents range. Well done though, good experience

Definitely should call with AJ top pair and nut flush draw

Nice run big dog. Always good to run well when you shot take. Good decisions on this one except for that AK overplay. Ouch.
By the way, when it’s post flop and someone bets and you raise that isn’t a 3 bet that’s just a raise. A post flop 3 bet is when someone bets, another raises then there’s a re raise.
Either way, way to get it chief.

Thanks bro, yeah sometimes I word things wrong but I just quickly say 3bet to show my raise sizing was 3x his bet. Your right tho, technically its just a raise.

@@JimmyPockettsPoker Yeah only reason I say that is it might confuse people. Either way. Hope you run good on the next shot take!

Call with ak vs 67 is best. Your shove only gets called by better

You won at a higher stakes that’s great man. Shake off the AK vs straight hand. All poker players make mistakes man.

How is turning a Royal flush draw the worst card in the deck? That card was nearly as good as a Jack if not better.

    • @JimmyPockettsPoker
      @JimmyPockettsPoker  9 месяцев назад

Felt like I was behind at that moment and did not want to gamble for his all in jam

Yeah, but if you were already behind on the flip then you’re still behind on the Qd on the turn, but that card gives you 12 additional outs. It was the next best card to a board pairing Jack which actually might have given your opponent a full house regardless. The Qd was probably the best card in the deck for your hand.

"nothing i could do" is the worst misuse of the phrase in that AKo hand that i've ever seen in my life. LOL you misplayed every single street. So many things you could've done. It's a cash game, the guy limp/called 3.5x with 76. That's standard asf. Are u new here?

Did you not listen to the voiceover? I said I made mistakes and it wasnt a great play. I'm sure you dont play perfectly 24/7 either, relax buddy.

2-5 at Borgata is like a soft 1-3 at Parx
