My thirty three year old daughter broke out in shingles four days ago. She had them so bad that she called me everyday and cried. And, it breaks my heart when my babies cry. Her doctor was astounded at how bad she had them, and her being so young. Renee, I pray for a speedy recovery for you! Hugs!

Today’s her birthday and Friday my grandson gets his tonsils out. I’m here to help them. I’m still W&W with my Leukemia/Lymphoma no treatment yet. Take this time to rest and heal. Wonderful News Renea! Cancer Free is the best news ever. Don't forget to praise God! 6-7 years ago I had a bad case of the shingles. I had a month of keeping my Sweet husband up every night itching and stinging and burning. Then for 2 years I kept having a recurrences. My husband never wants the shingles and I don't want him to. Take care and rest until you are feeling better. God Bless❤

Oh how I can relate to your story! I smoked for 35 years and was told there was a spot on my lung. 9 months later I was cleared. It consumed my life like you. All is well now but it was HELL waiting. I love your channel! Just found you a few months ago.

So happy for your good news! Praise God that you have stopped smoking! I lost my brother and sister within a two-year span to COPD with my sister going on to have lung cancer. I loved them so and it is so hard losing them! My Dad also had COPD and lung/brain cancer! They all smoked until they couldn’t anymore. Please everyone for yourselves and for your loved ones quit smoking.
I am so very, very glad Renea you have had good news and you have quit smoking for good❤ I have had shingles when I was younger caused by stress. It was absolutely painful!!! Stress is a major cause of cancer. Do your best to reduce stress!

Ahh I’m with you on the stress 😢 I have a PET scan next Wednesday after surgery, chemo and radiation for tongue cancer. I’m 72 and never smoked 🤨

Glad your appointment and scan went great, and shingles are the worst have had then twice, I used a sauve that I purchased from the health food store when I had them, They are not fun at all. Heal and rest and I will keep watching for your videos.
Wonderful news on the scan! I am sorry to hear about your shingles. I had shingles twice (under both breasts both times). This was before Valtrex. For me, they lasted three painful weeks. As soon as the vaccine came out, I was first in line! You and Mr. John are so cute together. I love your videos!

So VERY happy your tests came back clear! Praise God! Sorry about the shingles...but I learned something new today- I thought it was age 60 as well, and I have had people in the family get it, so not sure if we are prone to it or not. Just googled to find out more and set up an appointment! Heal yourself and take it easy. I'm dedicating this year to getting my health back under control, so we can do it "together", lol
I never had chickenpox as child but I’ve had shingles 2 times as an adult. The first time honestly wasn’t that bad but the second time? Lord have mercy! Some of the worst pain in my life. After I got it the second time my dr thinks that I had chickenpox the first time. I don’t know but I still try to avoid anyone with chickenpox.

Renea, I'm so happy to hear you're okay! I'm your age, too, and my Dr advised me to get the shingles vaccine. I've been procrastinating...better call my pharmacist tomorrow to get it. She suggested Shingrix and it's a 2 shot process. 2nd shot comes in 3 months or something like that. I remember when my grandmother got shingles, she was up there in age, and got it on her chest...I heard it was just awful. Yes, you need to take care of yourself first. All of us, your followers, will be here when you're healed and ready to continue what you always do. We love you!!! ❤
I've been battling Melanoma for years. My first spot removed was 17 years ago and my most recent was in November. I go every 3 months. It most definitely puts things in perspective for life and choices. Also, my son got shingles when he was in his early 20's.

God bless you for all you do. I was a smoker for 43 years and quit 7 yrs ago. Every now and then I want one but the smell is enough to make me stop. I have learned so much from you about canning and preserving. I canned with my mom as a teen but forgot a lot. Hang in there and all will be ok.

Oh no, I had those shingles…that is exactly where mine was. I hurt so bad all I could do was cry. I kept going to the Doctor thinking my guts were going to blow up. It was the most painful thing I ever experienced…I never had the vaccine either. Congratulations on quitting smoking

It’s not ridiculous, the fear is real and until you have been there(I have twice and it was cancer) you can never understand the fear. Your mind tells you lies. So happy you found out it’s not cancer and praying for a quick and gentle healing from shingles.

Isn't it wild how quickly our experiences, circumstances and fears take our minds to places we don't want to be? I am so happy your tests came out so well! I hope your medication continues to help your discomfort to be mild and that the shingles heal quickly. You reminded me to see if I need that vaccine. I know I have had it in the past but can't remember when. Congratulations on 3 months smoke free! Looking back God used this scare for at least one purpose you can already see.
I’m thrilled you had great news! Praise God!! I knew something was wrong because often your breathing was very heavy and faster. I had cancer once, I get the scare. God is alive!
So happy your were cleared on cancer!!! As for Shingles, had them twice and they are NOT fun to say the least. I did not catch them in time for the medication so I suffered for about a month. I had to sleep with an ice pack between my breasts as they started there and then went around my side to my back. The nerve pain is excrutiating!!
I'm so glad you're not smoking. I hope the rest of your family follows along. Your poor grand babies in the house with all that smoke not good at all for them second hand smokes causes cancer also.
I had shingles when I was 14. My doctor was shocked. I was worried about doing well in school and boys and teenage stuff. I'm 53 now, but I remember how painful it was. Got it in the same place as you. Had a scar on my back and front, but I think the fat hides it now lol.

Shingles are terrible. When my husband passed away 21 years ago. His funeral was on a Wednesday. By Friday, i broke out with shingles. Stress. You just had a life changing scare. Hope its over soon. And Praise God you quit smoking. God has been good to you. 😊
It was a standard to get shingles vaccination at age 60 for years. They changed age a few years ago. I remember going for shot on my birthday! As a retired nurse, I did not want the chance of shingles. I saw how debilitating it was for some. Congratulations on healthy lungs .

Renea, I am so sorry you have been under so much stress. The shingles are the worst thing, they are terrible. My hubby had them and he could not take any of the meds or the shot for them. He was a total basket case. I feel for you. Rest, relax and take time to completely get over them because they can relapse if you don't. God bless you and take care of yourself.
Renea I’m so happy your cancer free and so about the shingles hope you have a fast recovery and not a lot of pain . I’m 64 yrs old and. My pharmacy kept bugging me about the shingle vaccine and I finally gave in , I think I was 60 , thank goodness for that. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers. My cousin got shingles when her son was dying from cancer. It took her forever to get rid of the pain. Her son died inn September. Praise Jesus that you are cancer free.
Amen I just go over shungles a month ago. I’ve been having a lot of stress it started with the death of my husband. Our house burned we lost everything. My life has been so stressful.

Renee great news on your scan 💜💜. I’m 56 and had the shingles vaccine, just prepare for at least a few days of pretty bad arm pain. That was my experience but well worth not getting shingles!

I am so glad to hear the good news about your health. 20 years ago, when my youngest son was 5, he told me mother-in-law who was a heavy smoker that if she didn't stop smoking "She would die AGAIN". MIL was so shocked by what he said, she went to her doctor who sent her for a lung x-ray. She had a small spot of emphysema on her lung. She quit smoking immediately and to this day she credits my now, 25-year-old with saving her life. I wish you and hubby many years of good health and happiness. I enjoy your videos also. Hi Renea and John! I’m so glad you’re cancer free, that wonderful. The shingles are very painful and stress is one of the biggest reasons that flares it up. My mother had it on her head and next to her eye. They were worried about it going to her eye, but thankfully it didn’t.
The vaccine doesn’t prevent it, but supposedly helps with the outbreak.

I’ve never had chickenpox, never had measles, and I might’ve had the mumps.
All I’ve had basically was the flu and had bad cases of the flu. I also had Covid a couple times but nothing bad.
