I'm a Geelong supporter and absolutely agree. It won't be long and a lot of the younger guys will be looking at new contracts and some will have to get squeezed out. Geelong do what they do but it doesn't suit those that are after a bigger pay day.

I honestly don’t get the hype of De Koning. He’s certainly not worth a mill and if a club is willing to offer that is flat out stupid. He still is growing so we probably don’t know where his talents will be so he’s such an unknown and anything over 600k you’d want a lot of evidence to suggest it would work as it’s a lot of money to give a player inside of a cap. I don’t think he’s going to be anything more than a solid role player which is what Ruckman are so if that’s the case nothing more than 700k anything more and it’s an overpaid contract.
