Card number is in the upper right corner. Rarities exist, but can not be found on the card (you can see rarities on my google doc checklist at prodigiouscollecting.com after clicking on the digi battle heading), the digivolve requirements box is at the top of the card (like the pokemon evolution that's on the upper left of cards), the numbers at the bottom of the card is attack power. A different attack is used depending on the symbol found on the opponents Digimon. There's more, but those are tje basics. Does that all make sense?
Great video. I find information on these (especially on where the promo cards and variants come from) difficult to find so this video is like a definitive guide. Used to have these when they first came out but even Booster 2 was practically invisible here in the UK, let alone the rest. Cereal Promos are infinitely more common than the Booster versions on our ebay.
Interesting. Are even the Piedmon and Metalseadramon cereal promos easier to find over there? Thanks for the information. Really appreciate you sharing
@@digiman7670 the holos aren't easy. There's one Piedmon up at the moment for £120 and thats it. The commons though are really easy to get. I've been getting back into collecting and I put together the whole CP set minus Piedmon (with a load of dupes) from a random joblot. It's going to be an uphill mission though as everything beyond Booster 1 is so rare and pricy. Its all Starter stuff for the most part, and all unlimited at that.
@@digiman7670 See, I also collect vintage Pokemon and Yugioh and I find it very interesting that cards considered "rare" or in-demand in those games have NOTHING on some Digimon cards. Most of the time, you can always find a specific Pokemon/Yugioh card with little effort, it just depends on price. With Digimon, specific cards sometimes simply don't exist on the market. I've yet to see a Booster 2 Metalgreymon for example. Do you use a specific community or forum to discuss collecting with others? Would also be curious to know what you think about the French Booster 3 - not all of those cards were reprinted in English for the Swedish promos but they still have the old pre-Booster 3 design and non-CG art. I find the cards weird because there are so many lazy-looking colour swaps of existing arts with new names.
@@richardm5664 I recently completed my collection early last year, and I can vouch for it taking a long time! it took me around 6 years to complete. From the start It just began with a Piedmon and Machinedramon. Some cards are so rare that one took those 5 years to actually find, I love the series french cards since the art builds and adds to the look of my collection and you get that "I never knew those were a thing" from people. I also collect Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon and those were easier since I completed the Yu-Gi-Oh one years ago and for cheap and I am almost there with pokemon just 10 cards left now. Out of all 3 I can't decide which is the best they all have highlights and a story. It's been an amazing journey to say the least.
@@N1gh7z it depends. Digimon is still pretty small in the grand scheme of things and some of the cards are hard to find so the market is all over the place. Building my collection over the last couple years :) One question - for the holographics for Series 3-6 they only made the digimon monsters holographic and none of the option/power/spell cards right?
I haven't been keeping track of pricing lately so I may not be the best person to ask currently, but after a quick search of comparable listings I'd guess anywhere in between $350 and $900. Things can fluctuate greatly in Digi- battle because there are so few collectors
I think the only Digimon from the 01, 02 canon that didn't have Digi-battle cards made for them were Parrotmon and Divermon. I'm trying to collect every Digimon from 01 since I know I won't be able to afford the whole set of cards.
Hello, To be honest, I'm not so sure any more these days. I haven't been keeping up with Digimon card prices as of late and sometimes they change fast.
I appreciate seeing all of these. Did you collect those season 1 "key" cards that looked like the cards at the end of the season 1 show? Or any of the toy promos like the card that came with the garurumon/weregarurumon transforming toy?
For the English US release, not considering holos, I am down to Baihumon, the Series 6 gold cards, and Goldramon. :) Pretty much just waiting for them to go up somewhere online, I haven't had any luck asking around with friends or calling card/hobby stores.

Too bad though, it would've been fun memories to have when it came to Digimon.
I asked pretty much everyone that mentioned Digimon cards on the internet at the time. Occasionally I got lucky. The cards actually seemed harder to find when I was trying to complete them. With the resurgence of Digimon more card copies are coming into sight. However, there was less competition back then and even the rarest cards topped at about $400. I wouldn't have been able to afford doing this at some of the prices people are trying to sell at today.
Not a stupid question at all. I remembered how much I enjoyed collecting series 1-3 as a kid with my dad and so when I look at my cards it reminds me how I want to be a good Father and make sure to spend time and enjoy some sort of hobby with my kids when I have them one day.

Yes. Actually 2 cards I forgot to put in the video, but have those too. It took awhile. It was definitely cheaper awhile back, but cards were also way harder to find because no one bothered to list them
This is so awesome. I had the starter set as a kid and have been trying to collect some of the cards recently but for me even booster 2 has been super hard to find.

I just got a the holo saberLemon card at 0:47. Looks to be mint condition. How do you tell what’s what on digimon. I only know Pokémon
@@richardm5664 Ah. I see.
It's certainly not an easy journey, but it is an enjoyable one!
Now you just need the french cards! Amazing job though, the patience on finding all of those holos is insane...
Haha. Way too poor to pull that off this late in the game. Maybe one day. Thanks. I appreciate the kind words.
@@digiman7670 What do all of them go for? All of your later TCG holos should be worth way more than the french ones no? :O
@@N1gh7z it depends. Digimon is still pretty small in the grand scheme of things and some of the cards are hard to find so the market is all over the place. I didn't have all the cards I have right now but I did have the ones I collected all my starter deck, booster series and street starter cards.
