The original DB4 GT before Zigato
All Astons are beautiful, but these three come to mind : Aston Martin Lagonda, 1972 Aston Martin DBS (yellow one driven by Roger Moore) and the current DBS Superleggera.
Aa a student around 1970 I was hitch hiking on the south coast of the UK and was given a lift in a DB4. Remember it to thus day.
I'm most impressed with the men and women who actually craft this car. Amazing workmanship, over the top quality, stunning and beautiful. Cheers!

I have to hand it to you Brit's in car design from that time period. Aston Martin and Jaguar produced not just automobiles but rolling works of art that stand the test of time. Bravo gentleman.

1:19 Race ;eaders are Moss and Parks in Ferrari 250 GT, and right behind there's a Lotus Elite. Right on the tail of the second place car. That's rather good for a 1216cc car in production trim
Some cars are just above all, "art" in form and in function, and this is one of them. No point arguing, just marvel its existence.

Why, in the early part of this video when the DB4GT is being discussed as inferior to the contemporary Ferrraris was the Zagato featured in the imagery and not the the DB4GT?
The elephant in the room is that apart from the front end and grill, the end product was almost a Ferrari Clone in terms of the beautiful lines.
If all you care about is the price, just put gold and diamonds on it.

Perhaps revisit your video title : How to build the most expensive production car in the world - I sort of enjoyed it but did not want to listen to so many people telling us how good and how clever they are - we already know that but we did want to see them actually build the most expensive production car in the world. Maybe another video about the actually build?

Start with any car and simply increase the price tag
4000 man hrs?! Did it take that long to build the original? Two guys using screwdrivers to attach a front turn signal may account for some of that, maybe. Beautiful car though.
The design has aged gracefully and fine, much more so than for example the Jaguar E type. No one can afford it obviously but good looking nevertheless
All that time and money and they put the devils work, flathead/slotted screws in the headlight covers!

Ferrari you need to step your Game Up!
Ferrari don't build replica's. But if you are a very good customer, they might offer to build you a one of coach built car. Eric Clapton have one of these.
That is, to me, the definition of a « noble » car, everything about a DB4 GT Zagato is pure
Gosh, wouldn't mind having one of these. But as soon as I'd take it out for a drive some beaner in a crappy Nissan or Honda would smash it.
Almost eight million dollars? Two and a half times the cost of a new Bugatti Chiron? Owners must certainly qualify for participation in the "more money than brains" club. It is an incredible car, but is it really a "production" car? I believe it is track only and not able to be licensed for the road as a true "continuation" car would be as all the original serial numbers were used up in the building of the "Sanction II" and "Sanction III" cars.
I suspect in countries like Dubai they'll likely be road driven. And probably sell them all there.

The term "british quality" is an oxymoron.
You can blame British Leyland for that. This is a different animal entirely.
Why do you use a YT handle implying Agent Bond? A VERY British agent, with style and class. But not very realistic.....
Look at the resale values of current Astons. Current British quality is British Leyland. Same for McLaren. Horrid quality and terrible customer service.
@@1225KPH What cars resale value specifically? The only two that come to mind that have suffered massively are the original V12 DB11, and we know why. The other is the Vantage, we also know why. The DBS Superleggera is holding very very well, a V12VS is exceptional, later Vanuqish S are holding brilliantly

Aston Martin should have been sold to Geely. Alas, something went wrong and the deal fell through. Aston is now in a very deep crisis and its survival is looking unlikely.
