@@goofy5341 DNA could release a new torso piece to tab over the original somehow, make replacement legs to give the figure more height, give him his cannon and maybe even new bigger shoulder pieces to give him that much needed bulk. There's a lot they could do to improve this and hopefully they do.
@@UnfaithfulServant97 You're entitled to your opinions but movie 1 Megatron has really big shoulders, bigger than his head actually. The shoulders on the figure aren't bad looking but I think they would look a lot better if they were just a little bit bigger and had longer spikes.
Man, TF collectors sometimes have such low standards for figures. I thought that Studio Series was aiming for MOVIE ACCURACY and yet they reuse the torso from other figure and put it into other who never had that chest in the CGI model yet everyone decided to legimetly complain but now they praise the figure without reason. Such an entertaining fandom sometimes.
I've watched your review of Megatron several times now and love this version. Great playability with fantastic finish to the overall look of the figure. I like the masterpiece version but this looks like a lot of fun. Got lucky today as my wife spotted an UK online retailer with some import stock, the downside I have to wait till Christmas. I'm 45 and still loving the brand. After a hard day at work it's fun to have this kind of distraction. You have such a genuine interest in the brand it's a pleasure to watch. A great review! I really love the Megatron design for the first TF live action movie, it really brought out the alien aspect of him. His cybertronian jet mode is very cool. -This is a rare Megatron box cover image, his 2007 body with his ROTF head. It looks cool.
it seems really lazy to me that they repurposed the chest. thats what makes him feel less like movie 1 and more like movie 2. movie one had a very distinct sharp jagged chest with many pieces, while movie two he had a more streamlines and fluid chest.
I just bought him today on a whim. I was completely blown away by that wingspan and by the stability. Placing the figure in any pose and being able to flatten his feet is so satisfying. I was floored. Excellent work by them. Now someone, please make a gun accessory for him.
They should have turned the Nose Cone of the jet into his fusion cannon accessory. I really like how it can fold up and store away on the back but giving it the ability to be completely removed and plugged into the arms would have been stellar.

My first actual Transformer figure was Megatron based on his movie appearance from 13 years ago. Although I no longer have nostalgia for the movie, it was still a triumph for me and my parents to have the figure. Now I will get him, not only for finally being movie-accurate, unlike the Leader one, but the silver on him is awesome.

This was my least favorite version of movie Megs, and the original toy was one of my least favorites of all the movie lines. Somehow, this figure blew me away and has become one of my favorites. Just got it today after seeing this review, and he's even BETTER in person. Complicated but fun transformation, solid bot and jet mode, and very poseable. Highly recommend this guy.
As probably one of the only fans of the bay franchise on planet earth (it's big on cybertron lol) I personally love this figure. I'm not only a fan of the franchise, I'm also a big fan of this variant r megatron. I'll be honest I'm disappointed. A lot of the pieces are just reused from the previous Megatron's, and the robot mode doesn't even look the Megatron from the movie. It looks more like the revenge of the fallen Megatron. The jet mode looks great though, it looks exactly like the movie.
I'm so glad I decided to hold out on getting any Megatron till all these amazing ones came out (2 Studio Series Voyagers and the KO OS Siege Megatron) unlike Optimus Prime where I jumped the gun and got the AoE Evasion Prime.

I'm going to buy Transformers Studio Series 54 Megatron and to remove his legs by making the Revenge of the Fallen version Transformers Studio Series Megatron.
This is an okay figure. It does some things very well, but the underwhelming "swiss cheese" alt mode, the blatant reuses of inaccurate parts from other Megatrons, and the terrible accessory makes this a no-deal for me. In my mind we're still waiting for the definitive version of this movie character.

This figure is absosmurfinlutely amazing!! I'm liking it more than SS13 RotF Megatron. Of course, the transformations of both of'em are a pain in the nuts... I still stand by my previous statement of how "I still think that they should've just downsized the MPM8 version...because giant BFG of murder death. If you want to add a custom cannon attachment, if you have the Cybertron Megatron, I took his green gun, took a g.i. Joe knife, dremelled it down to fit in the groove on his right hand. If I can find the other gun, I plan on adding another custom cannon for his left arm. For now, I only have 1 custom cannon to go in either hand.
Would be even better if the feet/front toes can be folded downwards to make the jet mode slightly more streamline but it is still an impressive figure nontheless 👍🏻.
Unlike the ROTF Studio Series 13 Megatron, Hasbro NAILED it. Definitely fixed Mistakes Better than the Original 2007 Leader Class Megatron and the premium version.
Ironically I liked the look of this Megatron more than the actual chi model, especially on the legs. Megatron's legs from the first movie just looked way too stupid, like being very skinny from the thighs down to the shins, up til we get to the foot, which is too flat and wide, kind of giving an illusion that he has Donald duck's feet. In here, they compensated that wide as foot by making the shins larger. I'm not gonna lie, at first I never liked how large those shins are , but upon understanding that I didn't liked the first movie Megatron's design either I learned how to appreciate this figure.
I literally just picked up the DoTM Megatron, but this figure looks so awesome that I may end up getting him, even if that then means I have two Megatron's that I have to display together oof
I still don't know what his vehicle mode is suppose to be but I agree he looks great I got him today so I got a movie Megatron and a movie Optimus Prime am done with the studio series transformers for now
i believe it's supposed to be a cybertronian jet or spacecraft as featured in the first Transformers Movie by M. Bay. it's capable of interstellar and intergalactic travel.
They should have put the right chest instead of get this paint job on this figure... i don't understand... a basic grey plastic color is pretty good on the mpm and they prefered put a metalic grey paint instead of get a great movie accuracy ?!
I think it's because tf2 megatrons head is closer to what he had in the movie as almost all of the tf1 concept heads were different and were changed during production because people complained about it when it leaked

If you want to add a custom cannon attachment, if you have the Cybertron Megatron, I took his green gun, took a g.i. Joe knife, dremelled it down to fit in the groove on his right hand. If I can find the other gun, I plan on adding another custom cannon for his left arm. For now, I only have 1 custom cannon to go in either hand.

Would be even better if the feet/front toes can be folded downwards to make the jet mode slightly more streamline but it is still an impressive figure nontheless 👍🏻.

Ironically I liked the look of this Megatron more than the actual chi model, especially on the legs. Megatron's legs from the first movie just looked way too stupid, like being very skinny from the thighs down to the shins, up til we get to the foot, which is too flat and wide, kind of giving an illusion that he has Donald duck's feet. In here, they compensated that wide as foot by making the shins larger. I'm not gonna lie, at first I never liked how large those shins are , but upon understanding that I didn't liked the first movie Megatron's design either I learned how to appreciate this figure.

i believe it's supposed to be a cybertronian jet or spacecraft as featured in the first Transformers Movie by M. Bay. it's capable of interstellar and intergalactic travel.

I think it's because tf2 megatrons head is closer to what he had in the movie as almost all of the tf1 concept heads were different and were changed during production because people complained about it when it leaked

Bruh ROTF MEGATRONS HEAD IS DIFFERENT. They could have used their original art from 2007 like they've done before for studio series, as THE CONCEPT ART HEAD IS *A LOT* CLOSER TO 2007 MEGATRON
