We'll Be Back: Part 1 is so damn brutal! Dystopia is a great album, but if their new album is like their first song they released from it, It will blow it away.
The album actually came out in 2016 but the video clip came out in 2018 Dave used the phrase A New normal long before it became popular during the pandemic again this is a Very Prophetic song.
This song is one of my favorites on Dystopia. I wish more people would react to this song. It is so relevant to everything that has been going on these past few years. 🤘🏻

Mustaine/Megadeth - 2016 And people say stupid shit like hmm are Megadeth really a lyrical band.. Do their lyrics really matter.. I want to slap these people and shake them around like hello.. Are you paying even the remotest bit of attention to what's happening in the world and thought about the lyrics at all beyond just hearing them sung?.. Those of us that did go to read the lyrics and think more about what was said all know Megadeth is one of the best lyrical bands.. I mean come on.. Read the lyrics above.. Tell me those are relevant to whats happening.. Some 6 or so years since the song came out. Contrast that with say any other Thrash Metal band.. Hell don't even stop at Thrash or Metal.. Artists in general.. I can't think of anyone that does what Mustaine does lyrically regarding issues and subjects not discussed or sung about in meaningful ways.
To me their comeback record was 2004's the system has failed. After the world needs a hero & risk, I'd left em for dead. Then they came back with a ferocity and vengeance with the system has failed, ultimately surpassing metallica to me. A herculean feat. Suspense for their new album is killing me. Dude, check out more of their 2000's albums (excluding world needs a hero and risk - just abysmal records!!!!)
Risk has hidden gems like Prince of Darkness and Time: The End. The World Needs a Hero also has, Recipe For Hate: Warhorse, Dread and The Fugitive Mind, Return to Hangar and When. The System has Failed is definitely their true return to form though.
@@natea3799 man I've tried revisiting both albums many times over the last two decades hoping to hear them in a new way, but I just can't get into them. I actually want to find something redeeming. St anger is better than both. But let's not get too distracted... My point is that the system had failed through dystopia have been a powerful comeback with a pretty strong string of albums. And their current lineup is the best since Friedman & Menza. Kiko is the freakin shit bro.

I actually think risk is slightly less bad than world needs a hero, but that bar's so low it's basically just laying on the ground. We may have to agree to disagree? Oh well... This is truly a great song. If Dave never injected politics into his music, Megadeth would still be my fav band. His music *with* the political angle is like the icing on the cake,.....making an already good thing great. It doesn't hurt that I already agree with everything he's said politics-wise.. Next, react to the new Megadeth song, please.

Back in the day, there where bands of different types, that came out, that did songs based on events that was going on, and speaking without the speaking. And many bands tended to do this, were unlike now they say nothing and side step to other stuff. If anything, Megadeth is carrying on the tradition, and knocking it down still..
I missed this reaction. The Dystopia album is really good. The best two songs from that album are The Emperor and The Threat is Real. But this track shows Dave’s tracking the pulse of what’s going on in the world right now. He is unafraid to tell it like it is. A true bad ass.

Metallica only wishes they were close to that technical, skilled and creative as DAVE and the boys. And the drummer....its like megadeth has the Bugatti's ,and Metallica got the traded in 84' Pontiac fiero. That's the same as they got, trading Dave mustaine...for, kirk hammett? Anybody who pays attention to politics and the media with a critical eye can see this stuff. Still, good on Dave for talking about affairs of the world and not just superficial crap, and I say that as someone who frequently disagrees with his viewpoint.

Megadeth have basically been the most politically relevant and thought inspiring band I've heard since I found them almost twenty years ago
