One of my favorite mountains. Thanks for this video. I climbed it many times, often on a group canoe trip and we would do it in late afternoon after a 10 mile paddle in upper lake or early in the morning next day. What energy we had then. It looks really imposing from middle Saranac lake. Although smaller, it has some of the steepest pitches I encountered in the high peaks. Years ago, when we climbed it, there was a fire tower on top. In the extended view on top (left side of screen), at 6:00 you can see best view of the MacIntyre range, Wright Algonquin (tallest) Iroquois going left to right.
Yes!! It is such a great hike. There are definitely some steep pitches, even comparable to the scenic route up Sawteeth. We actually just put out a new video of hiking it in the winter! That was an incredible experience too. Thanks for the comment!
