I love seeing this, and it’s why I follow Shield K9, a trainer facing real issues the rest of deal with, a dog that’s not always 100% cooperative.. Thx Haz!

She's lovely. Your method is an elegant way to also do it, thank you for showing this. The last method is the way I have always done it, my hand under their belly. 🤩
It goes without saying that she is interested in the camera. She now has her 15 minutes of fame. So fun to watch. And so lovely that you showed this. Sometimes our dogs are not fully on board with what we want them to do. There is so much else that seems more fun/interesting/exciting sometimes in their world.
Cool. I have always done this in a different way. I have worked with sleddogs and stand is a good/necessary thing to know for a sleddog. Very interesting to see how you do it.
I recommend reinforcing following the lure for quite some time before you do this to make it easier. It's exactly how I teach stand too but it doesn't work if your dog isn't persistently following the lure enough.
I sent an email regarding my puppy I’m getting around Christmas time. I want to train for French ring 1-2, and I’m wondering if online training to start or board and train? What the looks like ect.
I have a question for Haz - what is the deal with German Shepherds who don't get their ears to stand up? So basically their ears stay floppy for their whole lives. Is this a genetic flaw, does it indicate bad breeding within the line?

Thank you for the realistic tutorial and showing that it isn't instantly perfect. Training takes work, not one and done.
Outstanding tutorial 👌
She is growing into a real BEAUTY 😍

My dog just keeps folding into the down as I try to lure them into the stand. They end up disengaging and giving up to due to frustration.
Possibly you are bringing the lure too low in that part. Make sure the nose goes to the upper chest and do it slowly.
Bang❤
Shes not camera shy ☺
I think the camera man should work with her
I trained mine to stand not to sit
Can you please try to do something about reaching out to Joe Biden taking his dog Commander? I really don't want to see nothing bad happen to that dog
