Most adults don't have time to hunt video games even if they might like to do it. The nearest Cex is about 35 miles away. If you order off the website you have it in one or two working days
Yeah i get ya ,i love the thrill of the hunt to. But i do order of cex online as well. Ive only really a couple of local stores and alot of the time if i dont really want to wait to see if they have a game im wanting to add to my collection, or there is like only 4 or 5 in the whole country then why not. Can always return. But a good feeling when there is only a couple available and it turns up and great condition. Specially when its under priced compared to say ebay and used vouchers and those vouchers cost nothing from flipping other bits. Am a hunter at heart but use my head to try and get what i want. 👍🕹🎮
I love nothing more than finding a game I’ve been looking for for ages in my local CeX in good condition but sometimes it just doesn’t happen no matter how long I wait… therefore for some titles I do end up having to order online.
I do a little of everything, car boots, markets, small local businesses, charity shops, CEX etc. Now days there are that many collectors and resellers that you have to use multiple options.
I have to agree. I love the thrill of finding a game in a bricks and mortar store. Though i do get games online, id rather physically pick it up from a shop.
Nothing compares to the thrill of finding a game during the hunt and the memory of the find attached to it after that... the simple online click and purchase doesnt compare long term 🤘
I keep thinking a 'stand-in' desk is what you have when your normal one is on holiday :p I rarely use CeX online unless it's something super low value that isn't easily available on eBay etc. The quality of items in CeX stores is so varied, waiting for delivery would just give me anxiety lol :)
I do tend to just go into cex to get my games. But I did buy one from the website, that was Resident evil 4 (steel box version) on the ps2. I got so happy the other month when I found Silent hill 2 in there on pa2. The disks were in amazing condition given how old it is. Since then they've had silent hill 3, the room, silent hill 2 (again) and clock tower 3 in. I'm in 2 minds whether I should go for silent hill 3 or clock tower 3 🤔, now that they have them in on ps2. Or do I go for the hd collection on the 360.
I love finding a Blu ray movie in the wild because I like to upgrade some of my favourite movies from DVD to Blu ray and a lot of them are OOP and very dear online on Ebay etc
I mainly order of the CeX website games that I have never managed to find in the time I’ve been looking out for them. Especially if it’s a game I really want to play.
Completely agree with this, us old schoolers have an affiliation with physical game shopping and that’ll never go. I also want to see the item before parting with my money, as a game from CeX could be anything from clean with manual to sun faded with no manual as they don’t grade their games (the ‘mint’ grade is BS) Also if you return too much after buying online with CeX they may suspend your account!
I'll always get them in store not online unless I've ended up with am odd number of ps3 games as I have a fear of odd numbers and a game I've wanted for a while still not in my cex. But the postage fee it's just not worth it
I've ordered about 20 plus Xbox games online through cex everything has been good condition tbh the disks were immaculate and delivered by royal mail usually within 48 hours :)
I don't like how you pay stuff on the website having to put all that card info I prefer searching online and going to the store I do buy stuff online but only if I fully trust the website
Don't shop at cex trade in multiple movies like blurays and 4ks and games you get a discount taken off your trade in price or cash price it's there new hidden policy that they won't tell you
Perhaps I was just unlucky but I feel that unless you can't find it elsewhere then ordering online from them is too much of a lottery. Not rare game or anything but one of the discs in the Oblivion goty edition (360) they sent me was absolutely shocking. It literally looked like something someone had hung and then used it as an airsoft target etc + plus numerous pinholes allowing light to shine all the way through the data layer. I haven't tested it yet but to say I have doubts is an understatement. I also bought GTA 4 + Liberty City Stories that had some sort of... I don't even know what it was, but some sort of 'substance' on the surfaces of one of the discs, possible built up smoke residue. The whole case and everything connected with it was not only covered in a layer of barely visible grunge but absolutely stunk - I don't just mean a slight smoky smell but having to change my t-shirt and wash my hands and still not being able to shake the smell... One of the discs again looked terrible too though I think will still play, obviously I expect some scratches. Tbh I just cleaned it, have stuck it in a draw (as I don't wanna touch it) and re-bought the damn thing off amazon for less money. Tbf though the New Vegas and Splinter Cell DA discs were fine.
I cant remember who it was but a youtuber managed to take their cex lottery back and swap it out for another one, i dont know if it was just so cex didnt get hate from the internet or if they do it for everyone but if you can take it back then maybe the lottery isnt as bad. Still i prefer the hunt in person
2 Weeks ago on a Sunday morning I was laid in bed with a really bad hangover watching random videos on RUclips when I came across this guy and now I can’t stop watching his content, love the game collection he’s built up … keep the content coming Brother ✌️😁

Most people don't live in the middle of a field like you do apparently LOL

My thrill is finding online a great price for games and gear. Picking up a PS Portal brand new a couple for month back for £150 was a great find.

Bro how do you order it, Im trying to order one on CEX and my payment gets declined everytime I try to pay on multiple cards😭😭

Love your videos man!

Trade in at cash converters you get better value with your trade ins with either cash or in-store credit
I do both if it's finding a certain game I'll shop round online or in the shops.
For me it's all based on condition and price when it comes to collecting. I don't really care where I get it from.
I love finding a Blu ray movie in the wild because I like to upgrade some of my favourite movies from DVD to Blu ray and a lot of them are OOP and very dear online on Ebay etc
We'd all prefer to buy in store but it's not that easy to find a game you want these days in store
Lay in hospital after surgery watching a TVM video...😂
Wish you a speedy recovery bud :)

I love going into the stores and buying them but can't always drive 300 miles to CEX to buy it so online it is.
I bought a copy of halo reach off the website ,part of the case is missing and the disc barely works

All phones from cex has a problem with the battery
See I can't buy 18 games in store, I have to order
I bought most of my games for the ps5 from facebook market place or cex or cash conventors and found they are the best deals to me

Any recommendations for the Switch?

bro i brought Grid DS in covid via the website
didn't get the manual
gutted
+ the shipping cost for cheaper games can bring the cost alot higher.
Good point, since they started charging shipping per item rather than per order it’s got really steep!
You sound like a bit of a dinosaur here, you limit yourself to a very small pool when there’s an ocean out there. You’re missing out big time
Definitely a double dipper
