Honestly, the things that made him dangerous also were what made him vulnerable. His swarming aggression would really overwhelm lower to mid tier guys, but skilled guys at either stand up or grappling would just slip him and take him out - either by submitting or knocking him out. He was tough, but no one can take a brutal strike from Cro Cop or Graham and not taste canvas. Similarly, you can't give up the body to a guy like Werdum and expect to win.

Alex is one of my favorite fighters, also Mirco , i do not judge him for his addictions. I can only say, when you do not keep the balance everything can become harmfull.

Honestly, the things that made him dangerous also were what made him vulnerable. His swarming aggression would really overwhelm lower to mid tier guys, but skilled guys at either stand up or grappling would just slip him and take him out - either by submitting or knocking him out. He was tough, but no one can take a brutal strike from Cro Cop or Graham and not taste canvas. Similarly, you can't give up the body to a guy like Werdum and expect to win.

On the contrary, he hardly lived on his own terms. He was a slave to alcohol and sex addiction, even raping the maid and damaging his health to the point where he can barely walk. His actions also created animosity with his brother. In retrospect, if he has matured at all-which is unlikely-he likely regrets much of it. He lacked the wisdom to foresee the consequences of his actions. He never learned the virtue of moderation and thought he was invincible until rock bottom finally hit. His brother, on the other hand, lived more on his own terms, with discipline and humility.
