I think this channel's music reuploads are missing a couple of sound channels, the song that's the easiest to hear the difference is the character selection music in PODD. If you listen the reupload from this channel and compare it to the ingame version, it's missing the ticking(?) sound.
So yea, you're not going insane.

I was messing around with the Anex86 sound settings while playing the PoDD character selection music and I was able to deduce that the missing sound channels were fm3 and fm4. Not sure how it happened though.
