Man it's really a tough task to decide your favourite track in ABR's album..
I mean, when you listened to The Narrative, you are like : Wow such a bang ! And then you listened to Lighthouse and you are like : Woah Getting the vibes of Spirit Breaker. And then you moved on to Empty Heaven and your reaction is : Oh Boy, this gonna be my favourite track. And then you moved on to Three Fountains and your Jaw dropped !!
Every track has a special flavour !
P.S. - Moral of the comment is that ABR's every single track is a masterpiece..!! Chills down the spine and you can feel and enjoy every bit of it..!! ❤️
This is by far my most favorite ABR song. Lyrically; I don't think it gets any more powerful. Such emotional poetry. Raw, deep, simple and easily relatable. Musically; there isn't an ounce of fat you could cut off this song. Three Fountains could lose a minute or two imo. But yeah ABR rocks nonetheless.
Lyrically my favorite. Would love to know the deeper meaning but it seems to me like a cautionary tale about your sins catching up with you and not being able to enter the gates of heaven. Basically a cry to return to righteousness.

I think it’s a call for you to care for the spiritual well-being of those around you, not to only care about your personal entry into the pearly gates; aka raise up those you love to avoid an “Empty Heaven”.

Well we live in an age where belief in Yashua himself is a breed fighting to stay alive in an ever growing world of atheists. This song couldn't have come at a better time. Lyrically, this is amazing. Instrumentally, y'all already know! Lol. We all need our creator. We need a spiritual awakening.
MannyandNatalia Rodriguez if you can,just go on iTunes and click on the album. The iTunes review has one of the band members discussing the song meanings. It’s about the fear of entering heaven before the rest of your family and friends do and essentially having no one waiting for you there because of that. Having a lonely and empty heaven.

What I love about ABR, is that they didnt lose their faith yet also staying true to their music as well. Not a sell out band, and still releasing amazing albums. I listened to these guys back when they released Messengers when I was in high school. I'm 26 now. Time flies!

Guardians sounds like Messengers+Constellations+R&R had a big giant metalcore baby and I absolutely can’t get enough. Guys I’ve been a fan since Thrill Seeker, this album is truly something to be proud of, you guys absolutely killed it. 🔥

I’m not sure if the band members will ever see this but I’ll share/open up anyway. I’ve been listening to them since the beginning. Each album has brought me through whatever life was throwing at me at the time. Guardians has meant the most by far. This album was released three weeks before my dad passed. Today marks one year since his passing. This song particularly has been the most impactful. My dad died of muscular dystrophy. And to hear the lyrics of this, and having the faith I do in God as a Christian, I know my dad has new breath in his lungs. And that Heaven won’t be empty with those that love him. Thank you August Burns Red for everything. And the ability to help me heal after his passing.

It honestly feels like this song gets overshadowed by the other amazing songs on the album, but this one is a literal masterpiece when you stop and process it!
I kept myself away on already short sleep to listen to this album before I go to bed. I’ll be listening again and losing more sleep. Thank you ABR, it’s already towards the top of any work you guys have done IMO, and that’s only after the first listen

So - who dropped acid and sat down to write these lyrics? Incredible stuff. The drums are immaculate and the melodies are incredible. A masterpiece.
I genuinely don't think I've ever disliked anything ABR have ever made. But I also couldn't help but think Jake took a page out of Sam Carter's book with the vocal style here. Loving it.
