I can't even put into words how amazing this song is. It's got deathcore vibes mixed with Messengers and R&R while also being extremely progressive. You guys did an amazing job with maturing your sound while staying true to the style that everyone knows as August Burns Red.
The chorus is a progressive part, but I meant "progressive" in the sense that they are doing new things and continuing to grow as a band. I love pretty much all of their stuff, but this is the most solid I've heard from them when it comes to how it's written, in my opinion.
I probably could've worded it a little differently. I just love how smooth each part of the song transitions into the next part. I'm a guitar player myself, so I pay a lot of attention to how things are written and how well everything flows.
ABR is what bands should look to when evolving and refining their sound. So many bands go to complete shit *cough* Parkway Drive *cough* when they attempt it and either sell out or completely neuter the sound that made them famous in the first place.
everybody is saying this song is about losing a loved one; unless i'm completely mishearing the lyrics, its much more complicated than that. from what i hear, its about a father who was absent from his child's life. later in life, the father tries for redemption and asks for forgiveness, and the son struggles with his feelings about his father. "you chose to leave" "you disregard the damage you impart" "my judgment is clouded by the blood we share" "i didn't skip a beat when i heard the news that you, you couldn't make it to your feet" "just another day of not knowing what to believe; another tale, another story" "i wish i had the words to say i love you, i'm not sure i understand what those mean when i'm thinking of you" "i have no words for you" "when i needed you, you wouldn't even hear it" "you made your choices, you'll live with them even if we're gone" unless i'm completely misinterpreting this, and he's just mad at his father for "leaving" by dying. regardless, clearly lots of pain in this. its a powerful song, and an absolute jam.
I think rather than him being mad over his dad "leaving" by dying, he is mad because how much he was neglected by his dad throughout the years and so he tried to not to get saddened by his demise but no matter what it's still his dad, as said in "my judgement is clouded by the blood we share" So he is mad at him for the way he treated him through out the years, lines like "I wish it had turned out different" and stuff like that through out the video. "It's no secret that the past few years have been extremely dark and challenging," guitarist JB Brubaker says. I feel this is one of the darkest, most personal songs we've released."

That chorus man
I watched this before I went to bed. Now I need to watch something to lower my blood pressure 🤘🤘
This track is awesome! Perfect blend of heavy and beautifully soft and melodic. Drumming is sick, guitars sound freaking amazing as well. Jesse adds such a great element to this track with his clean vocals. I’m so pleasantly surprised this track. I absolutely love it.
at this point ABR as ascended from metalcore to something completely new. We shall call it godmetal!
How these guys are so good and so consistently amazing through the years is a feat in itself.
They are now signed with sharp tone records
Jesse really elevated this song. Great collab!
The anticipation is burning red right now
man, this has easily become my new fave abr song, i was hooked on composure and meddler, but damn, this is simply too good
Matt Greiner never disappoints
the GOAT. idc what anyone says. he’s drumming is ALWAYS on another level.
Another heavy banger from ABR can't wait for the album
ABR ages like a fine wine. These are the only acceptable clean vocals I ever heard in metalcore!
"It's no secret that the past few years have been extremely dark and challenging," guitarist JB Brubaker says. "This track came together as a result of that time in each our lives and the emotions that came with it. We were motivated by uncertainty, fear, outrage, and triumph. I feel this is one of the darkest, most personal songs we've released."
Maluco que orgulho dessa banda ♥️♥️♥️🔥 não tem como, são os melhores !
August burns red é foda mano, achei massa demais a participação do jess
Ohhh nós br aí só força
Música forte viu🤘🤘🤘🤘
¡Qué video!
ABR, haciéndolo como ellos saben ❤️ Gran colaboración!
@Roberto Escamilla Uff, estaría bastante cool 🤘🏼
The Bass in every track on Death Bellow is insane bruh!!
Dustin be like "fuck it man it's my time to shine!"
あまりにも美しいメロディと歌声だったので、一瞬で心を奪われました!ぜひ日本でライブをして欲しいです!
it's beautiful what you hear, to have these two voices in one song is gold!
Cuando la musica conecta, no necesitas hablar el Idioma para saber que te habla.... Entender esta letra es revivir 28 años de relación con mi padre, la misma situación, la misma ira...
"My judgement is clouded by the blood we share"
The hollow point may have ripped you apart
You disregard the damage you'd impart, actualemnete ya estoy mas enfocado aunque tengo bajones en los que los canalizo con musica, comida y compañia de amigos porque desafortunadamente ya me quedo claro la naturaleza hipergamica de la mujer.
Eesh. You perfectly expressed my dad as well as my feelings and thoughts toward him in this song. And now I'm crying.
One thing you know you’re going to get with Abr is bangers after bangers
Love you guys, song came when I needed it most, and Jesse is a lifesaver for me as well so seeing you both on this was amazing. Keep it up guys, love it absolutely
Love the cleans ! ABR really manage to make technical songs fun !
the lyrics in this is just 10/10 BANGER
I dedicate this song to whoever I love so much, to that woman who hurt me so deeply that she killed me and left a walking corpse that only lives so as not to make those close to her suffer.
One of the hardest working Metal band rn
The lyrics are deep but I relate to it on every single line. Thanks for this ABR.
Jake what a performance! give the man an Oscar
