Still waiting for a Mazda 3 and Civic RS comparo. PS. I got the mazda over the RS earlier this year! Can't beat the elegance (for the price) of modern mazdas.
@@tomatopastefever3769 test drove the RS and Mazda, ultimately pulled the trigger on the Mazda 3 2.0 (NA). Great stock suspension. Had a tuned coilovers (for daily driving) on an 8th gen civic, and will still prefer the comfort of my mazda. I also prefer the mazda over the RS' suspension No complaints on NVH. I always think a window is open everytime a ride grab as I am used to Mazda's NVH quality. I got the NA version of the mazda and not the mild hybrid.
Yep, you're right. Test drove both. Mazda 3's NVH is way too good. It the civic rs. The tire noise creeps in so much at 80kph hhahahahah. While the mazda 3 at 120kph. Napakatahimik parin. Haha parang ginogoyo
@@FD-tn5ys Mazda's 2.0 engine has genuine and immediate power delivery (no lag whatsoever), longer lifespan and doesn't have a turbo charger to be repaired when gets worn out.
Looking forward getting civic rs this year! For me, I think the noise inside the car is perfect, you need to hear that vtec when it kicks in!! overall, very good review!
@@ADJ161996 havent purchased yet. Still deciding since the facelift is incoming. Kinda worried tho that it might be hybrid only for RS variant (since i think thailand already removed turbo for rs)
I've read from top gear pH this week that there's a hunch Honda would bring a hatchback version of the RS with a 6-speed manual. It would be a hit from enthusiast if it pushes through. Still, the Si is better as it's tuned to 200hp with the same engine.
I test drive a week ago this RS yes you're correct the noise inside the car a bit annoying it's has 18inch wheel and is supposed to be comfortable. Compare to Mazda 3 driving experience I choose Mazda.
Naglakihan na mga cars ng honda, the city is like the civics of old, then this civic is like an accord. So medyo understandable ang price if you think of this as an entry level accord/midsize sedan
Just what I was thinking. I own a 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper 1.5 Turbo and think of this Honda as a succeeder in a few years. Do you think it would cope like the Countryman in its all-round performance and convenience?
Bring the hatchback version to the PH and then we'll talk. The rear design of the sedan version of the 11th gen Civic looks like your average NPC new gen Vios, Almera, City, etc designs which gave me a go signal to just buy a used 10th generation Civic as my personal daily and project car as I liked the overall exterior design more. The new generation of Accords and Civics simply looks like your average NPC car. (Not the hatchback tho specially type R)
@KyleLiongCars I guess for some but in my personal opinion that doesn't change the fact that it is a copy paste of a new gen Vios, Almera, City, etc. Hell I even saw a Changan vehicle with the exact same rear as the new civic and I thought it was a civic rebadged as an acura but I realized it was a changan vehicle 🤦
@@KyleLiongCars Its a worldwide known issue on the 11th gen civic hahaha. As a reviewer, you should have at least tried to do research rather than saying “Huh” haha

Seriously considering the Civic and Mazda 3. Hate that the Civic has firm suspension and bad NVH. How's the 3 in that regard?

You guys think that the hyrbid will replace rs variant?
Did you purchase one already? Facelift is set to release this June in the US

for any civic owners out there: do u have any steering rack issue? other owners from other countries are plague with it.
I drive a 23 Si 10k miles no issues so far
As of Jan 2024, this issue has been fixed on all new models Pre, covered under warranty. Does not affect all models.
I don't have any issue with my car at the moment.
Good review, thank you. Flashing sunlight due to the roadside trees is very distracting though.
Yeah sadly we were under the mercy of the weather
Hi Kyle which one would you choose, the Honda Civic or the Mazda3?
check Mazda 3s back's legroom some says it was a deal breaker, but the cars really nice tho
I always thought the Type R is the top of the line variant of Civic
I mean if you think about it.... kinda
Really good review, brother!
Thanks
Baka masingit nyo po lods yung honda city RS 2024. Nice review your channel still a topnotch!
Thanks! Let’s see kung may sched
Hope they bring SI or any manual. It’s more logical bringing those than the type r with so much power you cant even use it here.
There are still places to use the Type R to its full potential haha
They won't give you any manual because type r wont be sold if they bring si or mt version of civic

Base model manual sana ng civic. Kahit altis wala ng manual. Ayaw kasi ng mga young generation katulad ko ng manual. Umay sa automatic

Is the turbocharger use the same oil from engine?
Yes
What are the cars for you with more than "GOOD ENOUGH" door thuds?
Most Chinese cars. Almost all Euro cars. Japanese cars above 2.5M ish
Does honda philippines still offer manual transmission on the newest civic? 😢
Sadly not

Automatic
What is the difference between Honda civic rs and Honda civic sport
We don’t have a Sport variant in the PH
For almost 1.8m php for a civic sedan, family car plus sporty driving dynamics. In my opinion. I'd still buy it... For me it's still worth it. 🙂

RS if I had the cash haha

Didn’t say that right haha! Please check the engine segment for the correct figures. I meant 170+PS 🥲🥲
Just dont like the tail light design mas ok yung previous gen c design
Same. Ganda ng harap pero likod ang pangit
isnt it that Type R should be top of the line?
Nope. Totally different line

In the Philippines, we only get the FE sedans. The FL hatchbacks are not available. So the FL5 Type-R is from a separate lineup.
