My brother lived next door to her In New Plymouth, New Zealand, and he said she was really sweet. Her family would have huge bbqs in their backyard and would invite my brother and his friends over. He said Melanie was really. Down to earth and hilarious

I’ve been a Melanie Lynskey stan since _Heavenly Creatures._ I also loved her in _Ever After, Coyote Ugly, The Informant!, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore,_ and so many other movies and shows! You can tell she’s an actor’s actor who chooses the bulk of her roles for the sake of the material, which is a rare thing these days, and something that I really admire.

Camille, mystic pizza is indeed an awesome film, but Melanie wasn't in it. Julia Roberts and Lili Taylor were fantastic in it.
I watched Ever After in my hotel room the night before I was married. Two days later, I rewatched on the airplane with my husband. We love this movie. We know the entire dialog. Celebrating 24 years married.
I always quote “I’m only here for the food!” from her in Ever After all the time.
Drew is adorable and so genuine. She’s such a good cheerleader for other women.

Ever after was my grandma's favorite movie she would watch it everyday when she got older... and they were her favorite 2 characters I absolutely adore these ladies.

Ever After, Never Been Kissed, Charlie’s Angeles, Music & Lyrics, The Wedding Singer, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, 50 First Dates, Duplex, Bad Girls, Blended, Scream. Sure I am missing a lot more. And she seems like a genuine lovely human being.

Ever After is one of my favorite movies ever. It’s very special to me, I think I first watched when I was maybe 5 and I always watched with my mom, it was one of those special moments you share with someone. During the years, after I came out as gay, things got a little distant between us, but every time Ever After was on tv she called me to watch with her and that always gave me hope about things going back to normal (and they did).

She is great in Yellowjackets. I’m not sure if I hate or love her character. She does some things that I’m like “what a bad ass” but then she’s so flawed and messed up even before being stranded.
Unlike Christina Ricci’s character who I love to hate I’m on a roller coaster with her character.

The first time I remember seeing her was in Its Always Sunny. She's absolutely beautiful now, then and any time inbetween.
Oh My Goodness I really like Melanie and all her perfect imperfections 🤗. She's beautiful. I was introduced to her late with Hello I Must Be Going and I fell in love with her.
I don't think there is anything imperfect about her. Always felt that was a back handed compliment.
I'm glad that Melanie has kept her New Zealand accent and hasn't adopted a semi-fake American accent so many actors get when they've spent a long time away from home.

Beside Cate, Melanie was the only actor worth watching in Don't Look Up, there's such a likeability to her that you wish her the best
Odd thing: Melanie's character in Yellowjackets is a lot like Drew's in Santa Clarita Diet: an uptight, suburban soccer mom (literally) who gradually transforms into a murderous monster while her husband stands by her no matter what.
And in Santa Clarita Diet, Drew's daughter is played by Teen Van.
