As a detectorist I can also add that the ground also plays a role on the selection of your detector. Hot rocks and highly mineralized soils require a machine with good ground balancing capabilities. And every type of soil has its own challenges. Myself I've now collected 10 machines each with its own unique abilities. And as Jess pointed out. You can use them to help you determine the travel the gold takes. But that requires hours of detailed mapping as you would panning and prospecting. The only advantage is you won't have to sample as in panning. If you do decide to give it a try. I'd suggest a test bed you set up yourself and learn the various tones and signals prior to hitting the field.
Love it! As a matter of fact, I use metal detecting all the time! Metal detector is a powerful prospecting tool! Great video, love your stuff, thank you!
I came across these uig detectors made in Germany. Not that I can afford one, but are they worth the 14k for the super model they have for long range? It can also supposedly find underground caves ect.

Thanks for the tips! Especially pre field-trip tone training - Great idea!

It's most likely Australian Gold would be my guess .. big ones like this are super rare in the States and very far and few between
Except parts of Alaska, Canada and California.
I have a gold monster 1000 I don't use it no where enough as what I should I'm gonna dust it off this year :)
Go for the gold!
i bought a g monster then moved to nm no nuggets
New Mexico has nuggets..
Yeah you find a lot of junk before you find treasure that's my experience with it
Yup,that's pretty much how life works... 😉
Yes but when that beautiful little nugget pops out after detecting iron garbage for hours is what makes it worth it..
So true..
