Love the fact that you are clearly ranking those players with what you’ve seen and not what everyone else is saying! This gives real value to your list as a list to comeback to in the future to see how predictions went!
Thanks. Sometimes it's hard to make the list as you see it. Like why does everyone see Levshunov as clearly the second best D in the draft and I don't. Am I missing something or are they all repeating the same thing ? I guess we'll see in a couple years 😆
I like it. If the Hawks don't take Demidov I really hope they take Buium. The Levshunov chants are getting pretty loud... I hope Kyle from Chicago makes the right choice.
@@plrt6794which is..? Personally, I think that was to find a winger this season for bedard (neither kevshunov or demidov are going to be available this year)

Is it ? The top 10 is so stacked that it just depends on personal preference. He's in the tier that goes up to #4 so I feel like it's the right spot for him.
I may have over criticized Eiserman’s compete because I saw him getting a little bit physical later in the year, but it’s still an aspect he should work on with his passing.
Yeah, I don't think his physical involvement is the issue. It's more how he is mostly uninvolved where it's offensively or defensively. He can sit the puck with the best of them and read the play well off the puck, he's even a decent passer and that might be enough to make him a good player but too often he's not that useful. Maybe he figures it out and becomes great or maybe he's Mike Hoffman... Hard to tell
Love it! You seem to rate small and skilled over size and it seems like other rankings are higher on size. The NHL leans that way too. As a CBJ fan, I've been hoping for Demidov or Buium and it seems like they are going Iginla or Lindstrom but we will see. I've been enjoying your videos. Thanks!
Thanks, I'm happy you enjoy the vids. I don't necessarily have a preference for skilled players over big players. I would even say that I naturally lean towards bigger players. But I try to look at the whole picture and not get too stuck on the size factor.
@@bluechipprospect Makes sense. It seems like the league is warming a lot to drafting smaller players earlier. Although the small D man thing is still a concern. With Makar, Hughes, and Fox struggling in the playoffs. Do you think teams will shy away from away from Buium, parekah, and Yakemchuck? All 3 seem like can't miss prospects to me.
Yeah there are some people who like him that much, I'm not one of them. Like I said in the video, I think he's a top 10 talent but there's too many top 10 talents in this draft to fit them all but he's right in there.
I've been told that before. My first video where I talked about him before the season started, someone wrote that. But after a full season of watching him, my opinion didn't change much. I think he's strong on his skates, powerful inside edges, good agility but I don't think his acceleration and speed is anything special. Which makes me think he's about average for the NHL.
Honestly, I can't think of anybody who thinks demidov skating is elite or high end or even above average. Not Pronman, not Wheeler, not elite prospect, not Mckeens... Nobody that I can think of. Is he a top transitional winger in the draft ? Certainly. Is he a high end skater ? Not in my opinion or the opinion of most people who do that for a living. Even himself he said in multiple interviews that he has to work on his skating or more specifically his explosiveness. Would you say Suzuki is a top skater in the NHL ? Not me. I'd say it's been a weakness his entire career from junior to NHL and I'm sure most would agree. Somehow, he's in the 95th percentile in speed burst over 20 mph in the NHL which would make him a high end to elite skater. I'm sure we can agree that he is not an elite skater. Same goes for Demidov. I don't know who and how it was tracked but because he was the top blue line to blue against 0 opposition in the neutral zone in the MHL, that doesn't make him a great skater. In conclusion, I don't think it'll be an issue. He's going to have to adapt and slow down on that non stop Mohawk stride but he'll be fine.
Other than the first two picks, there is NO WAY the draft will look anything like this mock list ... Believe me I wish I were wrong and Tij is available for the Flyers at 12 but I severely doubt the draft will resemble anything close to this from picks #3-#15 although I wish I will be dead wrong lol!!!
It's nice that you take the time to create a Prospect ranking video but honestly, when you do that, you need to be ready for some criticism and backlash on your rankings - so here is my opinion: You have Silayev, catton and specially Connelly - way too high. Connelly at # 10 makes no sense. he does not belong in Top 15. You have Tij Iginla, Beckett Sennecke and Levshunov much too low. All these guys are Top 7 or Top 8 players in this draft. Apart from that you seem to be quite accurate with the other rankings
I am 100% open to criticism and different opinions but I think you're missing the point a little bit. I am not trying to be accurate or be different from every other list out there. I just rank the players the way I see it. I know that I'm lower than most on Levshunov and higher on Connelly than most other lists. But it's just the way I see it. I even had Connelly in my top 5 at some point 😆. I think he absolutely belongs in the top 10 convo but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't be doing this just to repeat what everybody else is already saying. I'll be wrong on some and I'll be right on others. I try to learn from my mistakes and correct the pitch the following year. What does your top 10 look like ?
Classic Montreal bad scouting: Last year they passed on Mitchkov, Leonard and Benson to reach down and pick Reinbacker ranked 15th. Now this year, the draft is stacked with amazing d-Men (ironically) and this is the year they decide to pick a forward. They will have to reach down again to get a lower ranked forward. They should all lose their jobs.
Reinbacher is easily 1st or second best dman in these 2 drafts and it worked out great they got the better Russian in demidov not a one dimensional locker room cancer like michkov
@@samkoivu The locker room attitude is a myth and is a false reason to justify not picking him.
