I've made one that I've just finished. Like Lukes, it's charcoal on the outside but bound with sodium silicate. Actually, the core is sand and sodium silicate. Mine took far more than a day but I'm happy with the results. My next one will have a sand, charcoal and sodium silicate core and will be covered in wood pearl ash. I cast my core today.

They're both terrific, I like the size and smoothness of Sarah's, but I'm most attracted to the intense dark charcoal colour of Luke's. So my votes for Luke.
For me, the winner is Sarah 🎉 even if the color work of Luke is amazing too. And I loved how, in the competition dueling conversation, Sarah was unable to say something bad about Luke’s work 🤩
It's Sarah's for me the surface looked perfect. I was supposed to be decorating my house but I can see ball making on the horizon of a Sunday Monday bank Holiday.

I like them all, but I like the one Luke put forward best. In the Middle East, they polish them with olive oil soap. That makes them waterproof and brilliant.
I love your videos, they always put a smile on my face but today i laughed a lot. So hard to choose my favourite but I think Sarahs as it was straight out of the earth with no recipe like Lukes. PS Luke, I loved your colour. 😊
I think the amount of time and patience that went into making them was worth 10 points each. But for the most aesthetically pleasing has to go to Luke.
