Sarah won hands down sorry Luke 😂😂😂 I loved the strange one of Sarah’s too 😁 I’m so going to try this I’ll let you no how I get on Thank you for sharing ❤😁
I've made one that I've just finished. Like Lukes, it's charcoal on the outside but bound with sodium silicate. Actually, the core is sand and sodium silicate. Mine took far more than a day but I'm happy with the results. My next one will have a sand, charcoal and sodium silicate core and will be covered in wood pearl ash. I cast my core today.
They're both terrific, I like the size and smoothness of Sarah's, but I'm most attracted to the intense dark charcoal colour of Luke's. So my votes for Luke.
For me, the winner is Sarah 🎉 even if the color work of Luke is amazing too. And I loved how, in the competition dueling conversation, Sarah was unable to say something bad about Luke’s work 🤩
Luke's. Side note if Sarah would of put up her "What they called weird one" I would of voted for that one. I dont like perfect and normal. Luke's Luke's Luke's!!
Luke you made me giggle so much 😂😂😂 you’re so competitive…. It is a very hard choice to be honest… I can’t choose one. I think Sarah wins with the perfect sphere shape and smoothness, and Luke wins for the color… it’s a lovely color. Using Charcoal was a brilliant idea.
The comments are great to read! I really like people seeing people vote for their favourite and say why. The majority seem to have gone for Sarah's but of course they are all mistaken; Luke's colourful balls are the best!
I like them all, but I like the one Luke put forward best. In the Middle East, they polish them with olive oil soap. That makes them waterproof and brilliant.
It's Sarah's for me the surface looked perfect. I was supposed to be decorating my house but I can see ball making on the horizon of a Sunday Monday bank Holiday.
I love them both (all!), but if I was forced to choose, I'd have to choose Sarah's ultra smooth Maltese ball! I do love Luke's focus on using different materials and all his classic dorodango balls were beautiful! Thank you for a fun video sharing this Japanese art!
What an awesome video! I think all the balls are amazing but my vote is going to Sarah. I like the size and how round and smooth it looks. Sorry Luke, however I love the color of yours but it wasn’t enough to win me over. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
i think i'm partial to Sarah's because it's smoother and more perfectly round. I appreciate Luke's coloring experiments, i have a feeling if you do more, Luke will pull ahead.
I sort of like Sarah's weird one, and Luke's charcoal one, it's a hard choice! Well done both of you! It's a tie in my eyes because I don't have the patience to do That! Beautiful balls! Lol
Hi Luke & Sarah loved the balls you’s made. Out of the i pick 6 my others was when on glass was 1268 they where like planets😄hope you’s are keeping well from June & jack ❤❤
Wow, an amazing watch, they are all beautiful in their own unique way. I am going to reserve my vote until you have made the stands because i think whatever they are displayed on will reveal their true beauty.
Sarah’s because it is the smoothest but I love all the different colors it would be cool to see them all together in a window or shelf! Super fun video!!
My favourite is Sarah”s beautiful smooth version. I wonder if you can colour the final finish with something like powdered paint? The options would be endless. ❤❤
I personally likeall of them but out of the two, I'd go for Luke's because it is more particular with the black coating and the uneven surface. Great job guys, thanks for sharing!
Great idea! Creative and meditative! Red wine for a tint 😂. I like all balls, but Sarah’s best because of its shine. Curious what you will do next with them 🔮.
I think the amount of time and patience that went into making them was worth 10 points each. But for the most aesthetically pleasing has to go to Luke.
I love your videos, they always put a smile on my face but today i laughed a lot. So hard to choose my favourite but I think Sarahs as it was straight out of the earth with no recipe like Lukes. PS Luke, I loved your colour. 😊
I know we are suppose to choose one but both were winners for different reasons. Sarah’s was very smooth and spherical…lovely! Luke’s was unique and more colourful…well done! I wonder how they get the bright blue colours that were shown in the examples at the beginning? Does one have to use all natural materials? I’ve done a technique of transferring flowers onto paper with boiling…do thinking deep reds purples yellows might come from stewing the flowers then using the dye egg other by dipping the ball in or having on your hands. Loved this video and love to see more as I love to craft and create. Also love the times when you cook …do you do canning? Best wishes from Canada 🇨🇦
Yes the blue one was beautiful although i am not sure the paint used was natural but i love your idea of the flowers. When we have more time to experiment i will definitely try it out. x x
Okay, I screwed up two pieces of paper with your names on... *drum role*🎉 shook them in a glass, just not for 2 hours 🤣🤣🤣 and Luke's name came up, so he gets my vote.😎 To keep my stomach okay with this Im considering dropping down to the servo for a bag of Maltesers. PS this would be a beneficial mindfulness or 'healthy dissociation' activity, say for people with anxiety, with the bonus of lovely exfoliated hands. Thanks for sharing your fun with us, as usual.
it is so nice to see you both doing such meditative work, all are good and very beautiful, it is simply not possible to choose the most beautiful one....go one best regards. Anja
Had to be that a person from Malta would make malteasers! What an epic thing to create from dirt. Can see why it would become addictive! How to choose..... Luke's was rather small, interesting colour though. I think Sarah as she kept hers natural, it was bigger and super smooth.
Well I just loved Maltesers as a kid so for me it has to be Sarah’s. Also because I love the idea of using just the soil of the quinta. But Luke’s were super interesting and creative too. I know a woman in Scotland who makes these out of many of the soils she comes across as an earth builder and they are just so beautiful. One day I’ll make one too but I have a house to finish first …
I like the smooth roundness of Sarah's best but want it coloured with charcoal like Luke's☺ Great video!
Thank you! Cheers!
I agree and I think Sarah needs to experiment with the shine cuz that be cool!!
They each have their own unique character. Well done!
Thanks Ma ❤️
You're most welcome. The result is incredible.
I really like that Luke had 4 different colors but I'm voting for Sarah for how smooth you were able to get it.
Thanks for voting❤️
Love Sarah's sphere but like Luke's idea of experimenting with different mediums.
Both are so beautiful! Winner is SARAH'S
Thanks for your vote ❤️
Sarah wins. A perfect result. But, I love all the imperfections of Luke’s just as much.
Thanks for voting❤️
Liked both but Sarah is the WINNER, had to be after Molly's help digging❤
Thanks for your vote ❤️ with my lovely helper by my side I can achieve great things 🤣
I am more taken by your calming voice through this.
You both win! Not only are they as unique as each of you! But therapeutic!
So true thanks Grace x x
A win for Sarah but a very close second for Luke and the range of colours is amazing
Thanks for voting❤️
Sarah won hands down sorry Luke 😂😂😂 I loved the strange one of Sarah’s too 😁
I’m so going to try this
I’ll let you no how I get on
Thank you for sharing ❤😁
Yes definitely Let me know how it goes Pat x x x Thanks for voting too ❤️
I've made one that I've just finished. Like Lukes, it's charcoal on the outside but bound with sodium silicate. Actually, the core is sand and sodium silicate. @@dennyatnotts oh wow that is awesome
They're both terrific, I like the size and smoothness of Sarah's, but I'm most attracted to the intense dark charcoal colour of Luke's.
So my votes for Luke.
Awesome ,thanks for voting❤️ Rhonda
I think although I like the color of Luke’s, Sarah’s is very smooth and nice. Do to me, hers wins.
For me, the winner is Sarah 🎉 even if the color work of Luke is amazing too.
And I loved how, in the competition dueling conversation, Sarah was unable to say something bad about Luke’s work 🤩
Thanks so much Susanne x x
Sarah!! Had the best balls 😊
Totally enjoyed this episode, mesmerising. Sarah wins with her big and super shiny ball, second prize goes to Luke for that gorgeous charcoal finish 🎉
Yay thanks so much ❤️❤️
Luke's.
Side note if Sarah would of put up her "What they called weird one" I would of voted for that one.
I dont like perfect and normal.
Luke's Luke's Luke's!!
Love this x Thanks for your vote ❤️
Luke you made me giggle so much 😂😂😂 you’re so competitive…. It is a very hard choice to be honest… I can’t choose one. I think Sarah wins with the perfect sphere shape and smoothness, and Luke wins for the color… it’s a lovely color. Using Charcoal was a brilliant idea.
Thanks so much Noeleen !!❤️❤️❤️ We are both very competitive with each other 🤣
Sarah's smoothness but the black one for colour
What a great activity. Very meditative. I love the different colours of Luke's. But Sarah's is the winner.
We agree! Thanks for voting Deborah❤️
Like them both, sooo my vote goes 1 for Sarah and… 1 for Luke! 😊❤
🤣Thanks for your vote Ana ❤️
Sarah wins! Bigger, smoothest and roundest ❤ but great job both of you!
❤️❤️
You know the complete winner is you as a couple, each being the best you can, loved it. Bee from South Africa.
Aww thanks so much for your lovely words ❤️ Bee
The comments are great to read! I really like people seeing people vote for their favourite and say why. The majority seem to have gone for Sarah's but of course they are all mistaken; Luke's colourful balls are the best!

I like them all, but I like the one Luke put forward best.
In the Middle East, they polish them with olive oil soap. That makes them waterproof and brilliant.

Both are lovely! I like Luke's better, just as a personal preference.
Thanks for your vote Arleen ❤️
Can there be a tie? Sarah's is so shinny and smooth. However, I vote for Luke. I love the texture and color.
Thanks for voting❤️❤️ Yes there can be a tie but right now i am winning the votes and teasing Luke🤣🤣
It's Sarah's for me the surface looked perfect. I was supposed to be decorating my house but I can see ball making on the horizon of a Sunday Monday bank Holiday.
Awesome Andy let us know how yours turns out and thanks for voting❤️

i think i'm partial to Sarah's because it's smoother and more perfectly round. I appreciate Luke's coloring experiments, i have a feeling if you do more, Luke will pull ahead.
I will have to experiment with colours next so that doesn't happen 🤣🤣 thanks for voting❤️
I sort of like Sarah's weird one, and Luke's charcoal one, it's a hard choice! Well done both of you! It's a tie in my eyes because I don't have the patience to do That! Beautiful balls! Lol
