    Thank you for this tutorial. I just picked up my own AGM TS25-384 not long ago. Really wanted a TS35-640 but the difference was astronomical to me for what you got. I’m extremely happy with my TS25-384 thus Far.

      I got the 35 640 and honestly i wish i went better. Its great and everything one could expect for a thermal but the clarity in comparison to others at distance isnt amazing. U can see a heat source from 1200 yards but really hard to know what your looking at. Took awhile to get use to looking at things through a thermal and identifying what u are seeing it does good i wouldnt buy a 2nd one though of that brand. The 640 is great at 2x but everytime u click that zoom feature u drop half the pixels basically so by time u zoom all the way in your clicking back out to figure out what it is again.I questioned everything i looked at at first. Ive never tried the ts25 to know the difference between them but i think u made the right call if u are happy. Sounds like u got the correct one

      @@FilmJunkieOutdoors i wasnt meaning i wish i saved money and purchased the cheaper one im saying i wish i spent a couple thousand more and bought something state of the art that could have a wider range of function. Since ive bought mine now i see hundreds of thermal videos and there are some around 7500 that will replace your day scope also. Button push daytime or thermal or nv. Whatever u choose to use at that time. But it also has built in range finder and windage meter so when u hold on target it computes and gives u a holdover for Coriolis effect and all other factors. Thats the kind of tech i wish i bought instead of buying what i did. It was a good price no doubt but u get what u pay for in all things. I just wish i spent that extra dough from the start. Instead of now having the ts35 and now still gonna spend that kind of money to have the other but this is now like a waste of money.

    I would like to thank you for your detailed breakdown. And especially noting that you would need to write down the xy zero numbers because several years ago when the atn x sight first came out, I was unaware that when you changed your batteries, would reset the scope back to day one. While I'm used to that now because I have a whole cheat sheet using various distances and ammo brands and weights written down now, that was only because of bad experiences until I knew that. I'm very interested in the thermal optic. Thinking of selling a gun I seldom use to get one after watching your video and seeing the things that you covered in the menu. Thank you again for taking the time to do this. I learned a lot from it.

    I have the 256 resolution and a friend has the 384 resolution. When you zoom the 384 to roughly the same magnification as the 256, the image quality isn’t as good as the 256. Whereas you lose field of view with the 256 being a 3.5x base mag, you don’t have to zoom when taking shots past 100 yards on small hogs, coyotes, or a fox. The 1.5x base mag of the 384 really limits its abilities for my use so I would only recommend it to people that are only shooting extremely close targets.
    The password is on the sticker on backside of the objective lens cap. It’s also the last portion of the Wi-Fi name when it pops up on your mobile device.
    For initial sight in, you take a shot then cover the bullet hole with the reticle, use the freeze frame function, then adjust the axis values until the reticle is on the bullseye of the frozen image.

      Resolution is night and day difference. I have the rattler 25-384 and the a 35-384 and this is bare minimum for identification purposes in my mind. 256 wouldn’t be bad for scanning atleast

    • @browningboy2012
      @browningboy2012 Год назад +1

      @@kingrider75 It all comes down to magnification preference because base mag on the 35-384 is still only 2x and the 25-256 is 3.5x. I’ve spent enough time in the field to positively identify deer, hogs, coyotes, etc at a couple hundred yards. Where I hunt is heavily wooded so seeing 1,000 yards is rare and at that distance with the 35-384 you’ll have to zoom and then you’re below the base resolution of the 25-256.

    • @kingrider75
      @kingrider75 Год назад

      @@browningboy2012 I don’t agree. At 2 power, base magnification with the 35-384 I can easily tell a hog from a coyote. I could not tell any discernible difference in body shape with 256 resolution. Not knocking it I just believe these lower resolutions would be better for detection than shooting.

      @@nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848 the trajectory thing got me completly lost. I mean what would u do if u run out of adjustment. Was it due to the distance being 1000m instead of 100 yards? I watched that part 3 times trying to understand and each time just lost me more. Were those shots u made at 100 yards earlier outisde obviously and if u had it zeroed at 100 why would u miss by 12 inches? Or did u just make a slit in some cardboard for the battery at random and it simply didnt work out for the adjustments while u explained them. So basically those are all the questions thay developed from the trajectory part. If those impact spots werent actual bullet holes from earlier and simply just cut for demonstration then it basically clears all my questions up. And i appologize for the long message i just didnt want to go half cocked.

    Was looking at iRay RH25 as a clip on right in front of that ACOG. But AGM TC35-640 looks good. Just need to know if it will line up okay. Looks like AGM has better identification at further distances and has a better objective view at comparable distances. The only thing iRay has over AGM is size and weight.
    Please .. input. I'm okay being corrected. Either way I go, it's going to cost, so I would rather people let me know what I don't know vs me figure it out after spending the money.

    What does the freeze option do for the scope?

    • @nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848
      @nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848  Год назад

      When u are using the one shot zero or correction u can get cross hairs on target and freeze it and u can move one shot to where u need it with having to keep cross hairs on target at same time as u make adjustments and making it move. It takes a freeze frame of cross hairs and target so u can make a good adjustment

    You boresight at 25 yards with your rifle, but do nothing with the scope. Am I to understand the setting of the reticle on the scope is only done at your final distance, i.e., at 100 yards? The boresight is for the rifle only, at 25 yds, for the shot to set scope at 100 yards??

    • @nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848

      Yes u bore site at 25 to get u on the paper good enough to hit paper at 100 so not to over shoot target and not know where to set thermal. Also remember not like a day scope with thermal u move cross hairs to bullet hole so if u hit 1 in high at 100 u move up one in witch is 2 numbers due to one number is 1/2 in m o a.

      Its 1/2 in at 100. U need to lock in a lead sled and shoot a tight group. My gun shoots 1/2 groups with rt ammo and 3-4 in groups with heaver bullets make sure the gun will stack. Because one number is only 1/2 in at 100. U can go to reticle 1 and do the one shot set up is how u fine tune it but it sounds like something is loose or the gun is not grouping well. My mount got loose from the thermal I removed the two screws and lock tightened them back in and mine has held after that. Hope it helps.

      @@dustineverett3343 it lets u get the crosshairs lined up on target then freeze it then u move the x to the hole and save it. If u have a good locking system to hold gun to target its just as easy to make the adjustment with out freezing it.

    • @nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848
      @nightstalkerzthermalhoghun848  Год назад

      @@DerekCarrillo7541 what its for is when u use one shot u hold crosshairs on target and move x to center target. Freeze lets u get lined up on target and u freeze it now u can relax and move the x to center target and enter so it basically keeps u from haven to hold true center and move x at same time.
