Thank you Jeremy, I broke my back and neck, silly me, 50 years of riding, training horses, I'm trying to get back to riding and my confidence back, thanks
Good stuff Jeremy. Another point about the correct sheep's bend knot is that you can almost always get it untied if you tie it the correct way. On the other hand, if you tie the halter knot the wrong way (above the loop), the knot can be impossible to untie if a horse pulls back, which often results in a person having to cut the halter in order to get it off the horse.
Nice halter Thanks for sharing the tying tip! Think, though, that you'd improve your connection with your horse, if you just engage with him, instead of pushing his head away all the time... If you make sure to give her a hyoid release, after having waved the bag in front of her, she'll let go of the spook you gave her In this way, she won't be carrying it around with her, and suddenly blow up, when her 'cup' is full Also, it avoids the horse from becoming shut down
Thank You "Team Beautiful Shadow" for you question. The best solution is to tie him up as often as possible for 2 to 3 hours at a time. It teaches patients. Even my finished horses spend a couple of hours a week tied. The more you do it the better it gets. I'm not sure what your breed is but some will never settle but most get it after a few times.
Thank you. I have a question. What do you recommend for a horse who if he sees me work with another horse while he's tied to the trailer paces a hole in the ground?
Hi Jeremy - I have a horse that pulls back and breaks our gear - can I buy one of your halter/leads from you? And would you post across to New Zealand? Thanks
Your horse needs to be well versed at giving to pressure. He has learned a bad lesson in pulling to get free. Do not use gear on the horse's head that has buckles, snaps, or other metal parts that will fail.

That twisty one is about the simplest most effective knot ever

So, you wouldn't recommend a break-away?
On the rail looks like a bowline.
Enjoy your videos,, but the music is a distraction. Competing for my attention.. 😳
We can't see what you're doing when you tie. 😑
Tie with a neck rope not a halter. I tie for days at a time while camping and a neck rope is standard,
