I've been doing acrylic painting after I woke up and found my only daughter passed away at my bedside. I was deeply depressed and had lost all will to live. I was watching RUclips videos and I happened across people pouring acrylic paint! I thought, wow, I can do that, so I started painting, without realizing the therapy I was going to get. After I had been pouring for a few months, I noticed my depression wasn't as bad. She's been gone 5 years now, and I thank God I found pouring!

I completely understand the stress and anxiety of what you are going through. I was laid off the end of March due to Covid. I’m still looking for the right opportunity. Plus it’s hard to work when I can barely walk due to bad arthritis and bone on bone in my knee. I just got health insurance and I’m going to arthritis and joint specialist this week. I’m so thankful for these videos and being able to create my own art. It would be nice to sell some of them to help with medical bills and etc. I’m also thankful that my husband is still working and has been. However, living on one income is challenging. Hoping 2021 turns around and helps provide for all of us. We need more peace and happiness not hate because everyone’s life matters.

I too have had an art background most of my life! I have painted furniture, walls, and glassware…. Plus pottery and sculpting along with woodworking and zen tangle!! I have 44 years at it and a family full of artists! Soooo you would think I could catch on and master this form too…. Well this has been the biggest challenge for me! I love art and agree art is soooo good and necessary for our souls! I am determined not to give up either! Abstract art is definitely so much more involved than most people think and I have such a new respect for talented people like yourself and also follow the artists you have recommended. Again thank you for all you so unselfishly share!!!

I understand where your coming from , I found Christ then added painting ( pouring) and between the two I find I have no time to entertain bad feelings when my heart is filled with Christ and my eyes are busy with color . Thank you for sharing and your art is a expression of you “ beautiful “ .

I'm new to acrylic pouring and I have to say you are the best teacher on RUclips. You go step by step and thoroughly explain the process. Thank you Tammy! I like a lot of the artists but they never really explain the recipes, don't list the ingredients or show exactly how much water to add.

I have also suffered with chronic pain for over 30 years, so I know where you are coming from. I am sorry to hear that you have had a difficult time, especially with your cats. Life can be so demanding at times, but thankfully we all get through it. But like you I find art a great distraction. I appreciate your tutorial because I am new to flow art and it can be frustrating when something goes wrong with a painting and you don't know why that was. Now with your help I should make less mistakes. Thank you so much I appreciate your time and effort to help us newbies out here, God bless you JB (UK).

I agree it’s definitely good for the soul. I started this during the pandemic and I suffer from anxiety. And this is what keeps me sane. Because he suffering from bipolar piety and depression it’s no joke when I started watching a RUclips and watch you eat upstairs I got interested because I knew this is what’s going to keep me going. I And almost keep me stress-free

Great lesson Tammy. You are right, paint pouring is a great stress reliever as well as deep breathing, its all about keeping busy and accomplishing something at the end, but most of all feeling better.
