Our September addition to the CAS fleet is this lovey BMW E92 M3 Competition finished in Alpine White with contrasting Fox Red interior. Raj takes you for a walk-around of this V8 M3 and goes into the reasons why he has bought this car. This BMW now completes the collection of naturally aspirated M3's, however is it the pinnacle M3?

Fun fact here... the V-8 engine that BMW put in place of the old 6 is actually LIGHTER than the 6, if you can believe it. Absolutely love this car. One day, perhaps haha.

Love your M3. I also bought one 2 years ago. White, competition paket, all carbon parts with black wheels and original condition. No tuning. 25.000 km. Love to see your one!

Shocking to see a car dealer of that standard let that go out the door with the sump plug or siliconed up.. almost certainly cross threaded as I’ve never replaced my sump plug bolts in the past 3 oil changes just the sealing washers!

Great cars. I bought a white early (2008) E92 M3 last September but went for a manual as I'm a manual guy than flappy paddles but the DCT is great no doubt. Loving in so far. The V8 is epic.

Err, the V8 in that M3 is lighter than the I6 in the e46 M3 😛, but the e46 is overall lighter.
Isn't that the 2nd gen Idrive? It's certainly the 2nd version of screen/OS those have anyway.

These cars are not exciting enough and too practical to be a weekend car or show car, yet too expensive and old to run daily. They have rather lost their usp which was a practical fast daily.

@@CarAudioSecurityUK Hey my friend just a word of advice on an issue with these cars that's not really spoke about...this is water ingress through the vent on the passenger side where the drainage chanel gets blocked and this causes water to get into the ECU that is situated there, just had this issue on mine with the bad rain we had last Friday caused my car to completely cut out ,wouldn't even start,luckily enough new a mechanic who dried ECU out and unblocked and re-chanelled the drainage system so it won't happen again....all the best my friend 👍
